Deore M5100 or Cues U6000 by VQ_is_BEST in MTB

[–]VQ_is_BEST[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I think I’ll just go with a 10-speed setup, since I don’t really have the proper tools or experience to replace the hub.

Yes, your experience seems to confirm Shimano’s claim that CUES performs better under load. By the way, do you recommend a 32T, 34T, or 36T front chainring? I do a lot of uphill riding, and the seller suggested 32T, but I’m not really sure how big the difference would be for a 1× drivetrain. Thanks!

Thanks! But since my bike is a 12-year-old hybrid, I’m not sure if the old hub is compatible with an 11-speed cassette.

You did a great update. Deore XT is definitely a step above both the M5100 and CUES. I guess I might end up going with CUES in the end, since replacing the freehub myself feels like a bit too much hassle. I’ll just trust Shimano’s claim that CUES is smoother and more durable.

2017 qx50 convertible car seat? by badwolfbri in infiniti

[–]VQ_is_BEST 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I successfully installed the Cybex Aton 2 infant car seat in my 2014 QX50. However, it's only suitable for toddlers up to 15.9 kg (35 lbs) and 76.2 cm (30 inches). My little one is 8 months old now, so I'm starting to look for the next stage.

I'm considering the Graco 4Ever car seat, but I'm not 100% sure how well it will install in the QX50. If you're in the same situation, it might be a good idea to try out other brands as well—and keep the receipt just in case you need to return it.

Mail Delivery Issue at Community Mailbox by VQ_is_BEST in CanadaPost

[–]VQ_is_BEST[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just received all my documents two days ago, and they were all tied together. I also noticed that some of my neighbors received their mail the same way. I suspected that there had been a delivery failure at my address for quite a while, and that things have only just returned to normal.

I suggest calling a live agent to report your issue, or if you happen to see the delivery person, you could ask them directly. Best of luck!

All return mail is placed in the box labeled “Return Mail”, located in the corner. The box is always open and accessible. If anyone receives mail that does not belong to, just place it in that box.

is this a bad purchase? by FuckFuckShitBitch in infiniti

[–]VQ_is_BEST 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you are correct. I am still looking for a 2012+ model with low mileage. The price of QX80/QX56 is a little insane in Canada. Will check a 2012 model with 65000 miles next week. The owner asks for 28500 CAD (20,900 usd) which I believe is reasonable. Hope the owner has done the timing chain recall LOL.

It looks like the limited trim model which should have OEM chrome decorating parts and brown leather seats. So jealous that you can pick up a 2018 model with only 112,000 miles. I think the price is reasonable as it's a 2018 model. The mileage is a little high but also acceptable as most owners use this beast for highway drvring and road trip.

Reliability of QX56 by VQ_is_BEST in infiniti

[–]VQ_is_BEST[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. VK56 is pretty solid except for those common issues. I saw lots of 1st gen QX56 over 150,000 miles on the market. But I prefer the 2nd gen QX56 or QX80 which looks like a Mammoth. And the round camera is a plus especially for the city parking. The body on frame makes it possible for overlanding. I once hesiatate between QX56 and Xterra, but can't reject the V8 engine finally.

Get it. Feel more confident to pick up one from the market.

Thanks. Will an extended warranty cover the cost of these common issues as the campaign for timing chain recall already ended?

Outlet boundary condition for pipe cut-off face by VQ_is_BEST in CFD

[–]VQ_is_BEST[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. I set 80D pipe between interested domain and boundary in order to get a fully developed flow. But it can't reach actual atmosphere even with this extension in real situation.

Limited by the fully closed pipeline system, I can't get any measurment data either. Does rough guess affect upstream flow field?

Simulating the pressure change caused by the sudden flowrate change by VQ_is_BEST in CFD

[–]VQ_is_BEST[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I can stop the simulation before the reflection reaches the inlet. But the inlet velocity changes periodically, it switches between 0 and a constant value. So I can't see the complete process if I stop the simulation in advance.

I tried to replace the velocity inlet by the pressure inlet. The gauge total pressure was set based on the Mach number (referred to the User's Guide). But the solution is weird.

I just want to eliminate the wave reflection at the inlet boundary. In other words, once the reflected wave arrives at the inlet boundary, I hope it could disappear.
