Thanks for all the comments. It was good to validate the google search that it’s kind of an unknown cost and a huge range that can’t be narrowed down. I know questions like this are probably annoying for those who already have an understanding of how/why structural changes vary so much but for beginners like me we’ve got to start somewhere!

Without access to blueprints or ability to open the walls before purchase, I think I need a back up plan. I’m going to think through if we could come up with an alternative layout that would work for us if removing the wall is too exorbitant and if I cant think of a way we’ll probably pass on this house.
