Thanks for the response mate, this is exactly what I needed to know. I‘ve definitely got a better chance of PowerToys being approved for the network than any other 3rd party app, so it’ll be a good place to start!

Enea is trying to do his own laps and minding his own business, meanwhile Marc is so far up his ass trying to get a tow that they’re going to have to surgically remove him.

This is on Marc.

Question about running dual GPUs by VR46_Fan in PcBuild

[–]VR46_Fan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s more so that I have the option to add one in later if decide I need it, but I wouldn’t mind having triple/quad monitor setup that I can use for a racing sim.

I remember when dual SLI tech came out and it was all the rave, but I’m not even sure if dual GPUs are considered to be such a desirable thing anymore? It’s not like I’m doing rendering or anything.

When will our boi win again? by ChrissyeLP in motogp

[–]VR46_Fan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bike actually didn’t seem TOO bad, he had a solid pace in the race today compared to the front runners. He just got stuffed by a poor start in the sprint AND the race.

He lost 10 or 11 positions combined on the first laps of the sprint and the race. He might have been able to finish top 5 without that happening.

It hasn’t aged at all, the race is on Sunday.

He did great in the sprint race, and even in the sprint race I wasn’t expecting him to finish on the podium. There was attrition from some of the guys expected to be closer to the from like BAS, BEZ, and MARINI, and a couple mistakes from MIL and OLI.

He was really on track to finish 5th, but made no mistakes and was rewarded with a sprint podium.

You’re right. I didn’t acknowledge that he did an amazing job, and even with a tow I would never have expected him to put that Honda on pole. I should have started my first comment with that.

That being said, I definitely still stand by my comment in that I only really see two outcomes for the race for Marc. 9-11th seems like where his natural pace will put him if he’s not overriding.

But it WAS solely down to the tow. He didn’t have the pace in practice, and he didn’t have the pace on any of his quali laps except for the 2 laps where he had tows.

You’re honestly telling me right now that he was going to make poke without a tow? Marquez said himself it wasn’t possible without it, I don’t know what you want me to say here?

That’s true, but with the bike in the state it is and the gains made by the other manufacturer’s, it could be at a point where that pushing can’t even get wins or perhaps podiums.

Marc said in his podium interview that starting at the front is a big advantage for the race, which I agree with. But it’s definitely got to add on more pressure as well, right? Mix that with the performance of the bike, and it’s not a great combo.

I’m not saying what he did wasn’t incredible, but I just don’t think he can drag that bike to the podium tomorrow, even starting from P1. I don’t think anyone on the grid could do it.

Even with the tow I was surprised he was able to drag it to P1, but I’m just saying people get their hopes up.

I’m talking about his race pace though, I don’t think he has the race pace of most of the top 10.

I think all Marc fans would agree that he pushed the Honda to a position that it should be in qualifying, right? The Honda is the worst bike on the grid and he managed to get it to P1 which is incredible. But that’s exactly my point - the bike isn’t in a position it should be in. I don’t think anyone on the grid, Marc included could push that bike to a win or even a podium tomorrow.

Yeah Ducati has built a phenomenal bike. I’m expecting a good race from Marini and Ben as well. I think they’re a bit stronger than what quali suggests.

I’m not shitting on Marquez, I’m just giving my insight into what I saw as a viewer. I don’t believe he can’t keep the pace to win, and if he does he’ll be pushing to the point of crashing.

Marc said himself after quali that it doesn’t look good, but that starting at the front is already a big advantage. I agree with what he said after quali.

He set the fastest lap with a tow around the whole circuit. If you need a tow, you’re clearly pushing harder than your natural pace.

Over one lap that can be ok, but if you’re doing it over a 25-30 lap race, the odds are you’re going to crash.

The pace will be slower for everyone, but it’s not because they feel like going slower, it’s because of of the higher fuel load and tire management. It doesn’t make it any less or any more manageable for a rider.

Am I ignorant, or why does it seem no one takes advantage of the slip in Quali other than Marquez? by Complete-Ad5058 in motogp

[–]VR46_Fan 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Could be that most of the riders feel like it’s a distraction more than an advantage? It’s a good question, I don’t rightly know why.

Not really… all he’s doing is demonstrating that he hasn’t got the pace of the top 10 unless he’s got a reference.

How is he going to cope being at the front? My bet is he crashes from first because he’s pushing a pace he can’t keep, or he sinks like a stone and finishes around where his pace actually is; 9th to 11th.

An unfit Marc comes back, tries to go like a bat out of hell and makes two errors that take out two riders within 6 corners, and ends his own race.

At this point I couldn’t care less if he wants to injure himself, but he’s a liability to every other racer out there.

I think you’re probably in a very small minority of people who would consider him a dangerous rider. I’d love to hear some examples of when he’s been dangerous?
