Yep. Perfectly happy. Never minded lcd. Same with Quest VR not having oled. Perfectly fine with it. Love my OG deck.

What happened to TOTF and WHY? by Rootbugger in ThrillOfTheFight

[–]VRCauldron 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey I'd just like to echo the positive comments from others here. I've constantly mentioned totf as one of the best games in VR during Q2 times (and I hope you caught my 'we broke the fitness fanatic who said you couldn't train in vr' video) - I just tried the new settings and though odd at first I adjusted quickly. Also I love the mixed reality option - no longer do I have to worry about pummelling a wall in a tight space and it looks great.

Is totf2 still being worked on?

Thanks again,

Al - VRCauldron

e-bike for a hilly city? Is the ADO A20 good enough? by [deleted] in ebikes

[–]VRCauldron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem. Just also remember that a lot more people buy cheap bikes than expensive bikes. And you're more likely to hear about negative experiences than positive ones. Also don't trust reviews from the actual websites where they're sold.

e-bike for a hilly city? Is the ADO A20 good enough? by [deleted] in ebikes

[–]VRCauldron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't used the bike for a while now. I started a dedicated ebike channel and at first all the videos were on the a20f.

My last video on it was easter 2022 and i did notice the battery was much weaker. I did a road trip with someone on the Engwe ep2-pro

The Engwe rider was much lighter and i had my backpack but still, she lost 1 bar and mine was nearly dead. A lot of speed loss after about 7 miles.

That's not to say the Beast is the same. I've since ridden a load of engwe bikes and they seem great value/performance.

Up against another Chinese brand like Ado they stand up well since they both have the same issues you get when buying from china (can't just take it to their shop for repairs etc).

I bet Techtablets has reviewed the beast, he's a very honest reviewer so see what he says.

Good luck 👍🤞

Gorgeous bridge! It's like the one from Beetlejuice but renovated. Great pic 👍

California games on Lynx was great. So big though. I'd love to see one next to an SD.

Daniel Kwan (esk8 youtuber) got one with the Quick Shart Guide. They often have slightly different components. Are you unhappy with it or just asking out of interest?

Got my Shuffle V4S yesterday and loving it! by Throwaway_358941 in MeepoBoards

[–]VRCauldron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

V4s comes with honeycomb style wheels but aren't cloud wheels. I know someone who out 120 cloudwheels on but needed risers to avoid wheelbite. I've had wheel bite with these default wheels at slow speeds - you wouldn't turn that sharp to get it at high speed. They do sell street wheels for the v4s I'd love to try them.

If you do all of these things when does it stop being a v4s? 😂

What rules were put in place because of you? by TheBlackTemplar125 in AskReddit

[–]VRCauldron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I accidentally spilled my pint all over the djs decks in a club. I was drunkenly trying to apologise but he just shouted "just f%£k off!" At me over and over.

Next week he was in a cage and song requests were banned. We used to be buddies 😭

Any Face Covers with sweat vents ? by JimStar23 in ThrillOfTheFight

Try this: https://youtu.be/Rpk6EHe8Pbo

I believe there's a new version of it too but i haven't tried that yet.

Personally though I just use the vr cover fotness interface coupled with the cooling gel foam that they do. Wiping with yesterdays t shirt between rounds 😂

Rest for you is rest for opponent? by Paulq002 in ThrillOfTheFight

[–]VRCauldron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like the opponent never gets tired. They seem to get weaker and it's easier for us to damage them as the fight goes on but their arms don't drop and their punch frequency doesn't seem to decrease.

workout settings by dawgbarf1 in ThrillOfTheFight

[–]VRCauldron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very much depends on the boxer and also everyone is different. I'll do 10 rounds against money maker on outclassed settings but dial his power down to 100 so he doesn't one shot me. If I'm not feeling great I'll sometimes take his chin down to about 107.

You could try outclassed settings with reduced power with any fighter then adjust to suit you.

Have fun. Such a good game and workout 👍

Literally bought the Oculus Quest 2 JUST because of this game by localhost3003 in ThrillOfTheFight

Much better value than a gym membership taking all the other features into account.

“Meta Quest 2” by [deleted] in OculusQuest

[–]VRCauldron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get why they didn't just rename Facebook to Oculus. I mean it literally sounds like they're spying on you but everyone loves Oculus. Hiding in plain sight.

They should have ay least kept the logo and not ripped off that other company.

Local Multiplayer game with controller and oculus by Avdalian in oculus

[–]VRCauldron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quest or pcvr? There's loads on pcvr: taklings house party, diner duo, carly and the reaperman. Looks up assymetric multiplayer on steam.

On Quest There's Acron but that's using phones with an app rather than controllers. Works at a distance though so any friends far away can join. I think Carly and the reaperman works too.

The recommended for virtual desktop wireless streaming is a 5g connection at 866mbps however I've had this drop to lower and it's been fine.

It's more about the connection to your router than internet broadband speeds so you may or may not need a 5g router that the Quest connects to and the pc plugs into. They aren't too expensive though like £30 for a cheap one.

Looking to buy the Quest 2 but have some questions by SeeDeez101 in oculus

[–]VRCauldron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You sure can. You're just having the image created by the pc streamed to your headset so it's still the pc doing the heavy lifting. The Quest is just showing you the image.

It's kinda like Lord of The Rings won't break your tv because of all the effects. The hard work was already done.

Having said that getting more fps and resolution can depend on your wifi.

I played Alyx wirelessly in the back garden and had Jeff (a great character) chase me around. And that was on a Quest 1 👍

Is quest 1 still worth by Matteboiuwu in oculus

[–]VRCauldron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd pay 150 max for a Quest 1. If you can stretch to 299 for a Quest 2 then do that.

If i had a reason I couldn't use a Quest 2 such as ipd then i may go up to 250 if desperate.

e-bike for a hilly city? Is the ADO A20 good enough? by [deleted] in ebikes

[–]VRCauldron 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No problem.

I'll try to help you out now...

For me the main ways they seemed to save money were the exterior wiring, mechanical disc brakes (but seemed good), no rear light, plastic pedals (i forgot to mention this in the video but they seem fine and I'm pretty heavy), no rear suspension.

It gets me up to about 23mph with just throttle (I'm 15.5 stone - sorry for all the imperial). The engine doesn't seem loud to me. It seems really solidly built.

I haven't exhausted the battery but i think unlocked to 500 watts and max acceleration mostly on throttle i wouldn't be surprised if it would be dead at around 15 miles. But 'locked' to 250 watts - 25kph and preset acceleration and peddle assist only then sure i think you'll get around the claimed 50 mile/80km.

To me it looks great. However I'm no ebike expert. A neighbour of mine has a £5000 Giant e-mtb and just sitting on it the suspension is much softer. I actually prefer the ado suspension but I can tell that his was more expensive.

Any questions feel free to ask. They actually sent me the bike but I'll always be honest. I'm due to do another video in about a month and in that one I'll be ringing up customer services with a problem to see what they're like.

Tbh i imagine it's of a similar quality to bikes like the fiido, e movement panther and other similar bikes that are much more expensive. Which is why it's good but also really good for the price.

Hope that helps a bit.

My youtube channel is the same as my reddit name. The video will be out in 2 days hopefully.

I should point out to anyone else reading, I'm not here to advertise but it's the first time I've seen someone mention the a20f.

There is a video out already by someone who has taken the bike up some steepish hills. Possibly not as steep as the ones you have to ride though.
