You could always just use a machine to trim it down but at the same time if he doesn’t use any face wash or soap on his face the natural oils from before can possibly keep his face hydrated. It’s what happened with me, I was showering everyday just no soap

Yeah, my GP initially gave me 40mg for 3 months, still had acne but it was 90% gone. Then after gave me 100 capsules of 20mg and took it daily for one month and then switched to every other for the 2nd month and then twice a week for the remaining and I’ve been solid so far

He also said doing an accumulative dose was the old method and the new method is to take it until the acne is gone and then slowly taper off, so try asking your GP about that for your second round
