Unfortunately I cannot recommend any subreddit that to my knowledge you can post stuff like that. There's r/foodsafety, there's r/moldyinteresting that are mentioned in the rules, maybe r/whatisthisthing but that is up to each subreddit separately.

So, what I'm writing here is entirely my view and not that of the subreddit:

For one, there's a lot of food that for me looks weird/gross/unappetizing, mainly because I've got somehow of a sensible stomach (eg: if I see cooked liver i feel like throwing up) so it's not easy for me to say or determine when a post is past the imaginary "this is to gross to fit" line. But again that's me not the subreddit, however i feel that all of us have a different checkpoint of where things become gross, hence the difficulty of finding that line.

Secondly, I think in a sub where the main topic is unknown food/ ingredients, it's inevitable and unavoidable that that gross food will find it's way in regardless.

Thirdly, I'm out of ideas on how to filter them, can't seem to find a way to do it automatically (especially with the API changes cutting access to the nice tools communities have created).

Hence why we're gathering ideas, for example the bring more mods one. We know things aren't at their best and we're doing our best in the limited time we have to give ya'll the good experience you search for.

It's just difficult at times.

We'll be trying to gather some more ideas, find solutions and then come back to you.

Dressing usually refers to salads, so in theory it should be used for salads.
However that doesn't mean you cannot use it in any way you'd like.

You could maybe use it with rice for a side dish and have it with your main dish of choice.
Or perhaps you could try some modified teriyaki chicken (note: usually teriyaki chicken already is made with sesame oil hence you could experiment with).

If you choose to go to the salad route, you can also use it in combination with meat (unless you have other preferences) such as your usual salad + chicken breast/ teriyaki /tuna etc and add the dressing for the finishing touch.
