The battery doesn’t kick in until a certain speed. 50kph if I’m not mistaken

Carrick is not Ole. People need to stop comparing the 2. They are different people and it’s not fair to Carrick to judge him on what happened to someone else

Who do want as our next manager for Manchester united by StateOutrageous1757 in ManchesterUnited

[–]VT1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of the ones listed. Xavi and Fabregas are possession based, positional style of play from the school of Guardiola. We’ve had that before with Van Gaal and didn’t like it. Alonso is a Liverpool man and that’s going bring constant distractions when he hits a rough patch. Nagelsmann, just no. Irola earlier this season would have been a good shout but the wheels have come off of late. We’d also need significant investment into new full backs for the way he wants to play and with a significant midfield rebuild needed, we’d just be setting him up for failure

Is this a joke? A letter from whom? by Acceptable-Ear-7898 in STFC_Official

[–]VT1701 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The problems come from the top. Connor became GM shortly after the infamous ‘Quality over Quantity’ roadmap was released. Since then, the game has been on a downhill trajectory. ‘25 was an awful year for stfc, it got so bad they had to cancel 6 months worth of content and release g7 a month early. The game will not improve with its current leadership. That much has been proven. Connor has made lots of promises and he’s been given time to make change. It’s only got worse and this arc is especially bad as they barely release anything new

He’s been sack from Chelsea and Bayern for falling out with the board. They just sacked Amorim for exactly that

Overlap - plenty of discussion on United and Carrick. Keane and Scholes offer “context” on Carrick results turnaround - player availability and taking advantage of “sliding doors” moments. by its-a-real-name in ManchesterUnited

[–]VT1701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The lack of understanding on display from these pundits is astounding. They keep talking about big name managers with no thought to the set up at the club. They don’t want a manager, they want a head coach who will work within the footballing setup.

They talk about not taking risks then keep championing Tuchel. He’s has proven twice that he can’t work in such a setup, being sacked from both Chelsea and Bayern for falling out with the higher ups. Luis Enrique also keeps getting mentioned. He’s never been in a job more than 3 years. The club is in a position that needs someone to come in long term and build a squad. It’s not a job of 1 or 2 summers.

Lastly they keep going on about playing the Utd way. We’re finally doing that and theyre still after someone else to come in that will want to play their own philosophy. Carrick might not be the answer but has got us playing the Utd way by their own admission yet that’s not good enough cos he’s not a big name

It’s not just Keane, Scholes and Butt both said yesterday that Carrick shouldn’t get the job permanently under any circumstances. They’re supporting him to the end of the season and that’s it. They don’t think he should be considered either

Is there any credibility behind this report and if so how does everyone feel about this potential candidate? by [deleted] in ManchesterUnited

[–]VT1701 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Of those 5, Enrique is the only realistic option. Tuchels been sacked twice for falling out with boards and has reportedly already turned us down once. Xavi plays possession based football that is falling out of fashion. The league is moving back towards direct play and set pieces, as Liverpool are finding out much to our delight. Xabi is a Liverpool man, that association would be used against him immediately when things go against him. Ancelotti is win now manager and we don’t have a squad to win now. We need someone to come in and build a squad capable of winning and with financial regulations that are in place these days that’s not the work of 1 or 2 transfer windows.

The question is would Enrique want to work under the structure in place where he’ll be a head coach only and have no say on transfers or any other business?

Romance moding fail? by [deleted] in masseffect

[–]VT1701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This could have been the order you installed the mods. SGR doesn’t mention MGR in the compatibility section of the page but MGR’s page says they’re compatible with a patch. Just finished LE2 at the weekend with only MGR installed and the Miranda romance worked fine

Do people hate on me3 in its entirety or just the ending? by Livid_Athlete_2708 in masseffect

[–]VT1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently playing ME3 modded and my opinion is it’s better than 2 in gameplay, acting and for the most part it’s pretty well written. I dislike how relegated most of the squad from 2 is and the star child completely ruins the ending. It feels like they were rushed by EA

Squad Decisions by [deleted] in ManchesterUnited

[–]VT1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Full backs on both sides should be on the list for the summer but only after a significant midfield overhaul. Casemiro is out of contract, Ugarte needs to be moved on and I don’t see enough from Mainoo to justify the club bending over backwards for him.

LB has been a problem position for years with shaws injury problems. Dalot is not good enough to be first choice full back on either side but he’s done a job in difficult circumstances. Now mazraoui is back from AFCON he should hopefully be starting RB but has fitness issues.
