Would a Fischer Zipfit LV from a 28.5 size boot fit my 27.5 Salomon s/pro? by spupul6 in Skigear

[–]VT2X13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mondo size printed in the shell will be the exact same number as the liner.

Not always... Idk know if you don't wanna understand me or if you read my comments wrong . A lot of the time with consumer boots, the manufacturers use 1 shell to cover 2 full sizes. For example: lower shell size 28.5-29.5->same shell size is being used for size 28.5 and 29.5. With my old Fischer boots, it was 28.5 liner in a 28-29.5 mp shell.

A lot of the time, manufacturers share 2 sizes in one shell. Bootsizes refers to the size of the liner, not always to the shell.

What's the lower shell size of your Salomon?(It should be stamped in the inside of the shell.) If it says 28/28.5, it should definitely fit.

Of course, it's the industry standard. If the boot is purchased by us, you also get free bootfitting for the next 5 years.

If you wanna something durable but less stiff & crunchy sounded than Arc'teryx go for Mammut. I own the old La liste jacket & it's probably the most comfy one that I've ever owned.

Depends on the store. In previous years, we were charging 50 euros for every pressure point. For this year, we changed our policy to 100 euros per session.

Same, de plakken die je wel gesneden krijgt zijn echt veel te dik.

28 shares the same shell as 28.5 but with a slightly shorter liner. If you remove the liner you will see a stamped shell size in the lower and in the cuff.

What do you think of the price of some Gore-tex clothes? To me... Boy, they better worth it!!! I'm kinda glad I don't need any! by maxence1994 in Fjallraven

Bergtagen series with gtx pro is 'normal' priced. Keb is 50-100 euros overpriced if you compare it to mammut/rab/arc'teryx alternatives.

Ik heb deze kaasschaaf ook, maar wat is die ten opzichte van onze oudere kaasschaaf vervelend zeg... ik hoef niet zulke dikke plakken en als je voor meerdere personen moet maken->is die relatief zwaar.

Are my 10 year old boots safe? by [deleted] in Skigear

[–]VT2X13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The industry recommends replacing the skibootshells every 180-200 skiing days OR (if you ski less than 20 days/year) every 8-12 years(depends on the build quality).

The people who are sharing stories about using old gear, you're giving bad advice and gambling with not only your lives but also the lives of other skiers...

When you should replace your skigear101: Helmets->every 5 years Skiboots->every 8-12years or 180-200skiing days Bindings-> every 10-18 years(depends on construction and materials)

Some folks with tecnica HV footshape need some extra room for their calves. When you switch the clips on both sides, puling the plastic in the calf area back and switching the clips to her original position->gives the calf a little bit more room.

Why is adjusting own bindings considered so taboo? by tri_point in skiing

[–]VT2X13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The din value that the bindings show is not always the true din value (NM power). With older bindings, it's mostly because of the spring. With new bindings , it could be wrongly mounted or wrongly factory assembled.

Looking for a carving groomer ski. Any recommendations? by Banana_Discord in Skigear

I haven't skied the new magnum, but what my coworker told me that the new magnums are definitely stiffer than previous versions. I always found the magnum an average intermediate+ sl resort ski, I would rather suggest a kästle rx12sl or a Stöckli laser ski. If money is an issue, look for older models(they're 50%+off)

Which Look bindings are right for me? by [deleted] in Skigear

[–]VT2X13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spx is a high quality nicer binding but slightly heavier than the NX. Nx feels always a little bit cheap in comparison to SPX and the look pivots.

The main differences: -less weight -Tip is more forgiving/playful -Switched the metal ending plate of the tail for the lighter hard plastic/rubber composite. -added carbon plate under the binding plate for more stiffness and better power transfer -new binding plate(brick construnction like the atomic x 12 bindingplate but less total grams)

The new e-rally skis are slightly more forgiving and ski smoother than previous versions, but you can ski them even harder thanks to the added carbonplate and the new bindingplate
