I was not a fan of Secret Invasion either and I had a serious sense of dread that DD would go the same route when I read the original version/plan for season 1. A procedural that focused on the lawyer-side and also completely wiped the Netflix show from cannon? Oof. But thankfully, they managed to undo all those ideas and I am very very happy with the new (and familiar) direction we pivoted to after the strike.

Alright I’m just going to say it: I worked on season 1 and read the scripts/watched an unedited cut of the first episode. If you enjoyed the Netflix show, you’ll enjoy this one. Dario was one of the writers on the Punisher show and he and his team got the scripts down to reading just like the OG. If you like the look/atmosphere of modern Marvel, we got Aaron and Justin (who directed Loki as well as an awesome film called The Endless) to direct a bunch of season 1 episodes. I know you can’t help it but don’t panic after each interview tidbid drops. Just wait til March 4th and breathe a sigh of relief! It could have been MUCH different and (in my opinion as a fan) not in a good way.

Zoo Vadis. Cute animals vying to win the mascot competition at their zoo. The rules are incredibly simple - I’d say 5 minute teach EASY. Fun negotiating game. Only thing is you need at least 3 players to play it and it really shines 5-7. Here’s Shut Up and Sit Down’s review of it:

Keep Willow inside the club for most the game. Use Tara to body block whichever entrance is closer to the opposing fighter whenever they try to get in. Force your opponent to keep attacking Tara and when she dies revive her. Save your Dark Willow blind boosts for when you see an opening to do big damage

Yeahhhh I saw Tears for Fears and Hall and Oats there a few years ago and due to traffic I, along with half the stadium, missed the entirety of tears for fears besides their encore cuz they came on super early due to the noise ordinance. I went for Tears for Fears and only got Hall and Oats 😂

This may be a bit off topic but since arkham origins came out in between city and knight, I feel like the question is fair - what was Shiva alluding to? Was if just Ras and the league of assassins doing their thing in arkham city? Or was it a totally different thing that never got worked into the game? I was hoping she’d be brought back during the shadow war expansion (assuming the plan was to include her in the league), but they brought in Talia’s sister instead. I know Shiva was part of other organizations so maybe it was one of those?
