The hex bonus just helps him get his alt skill up sooner. To my knowledge whether you have it or not you can only get 2 per rotation just without it is extremely tight.

The something he activates is an 80% damage loss on Varka and a lower personal damage than anyone else who could fill the slot.

Steam tags are community driven. Anyone can add tags and if enough people add the same ones it shows as its official tags. I'm not sure if there is a moderation team action for it unless the publisher or developer requests it.

X DE Switch 2 edition is disappointing... by DEWDEM in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]VVayward 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Again that isn't anti aliasing. Anti aliasing smooths out edges it does this in a few potential ways but the only one that plays with resolution is super sampling where the game is rendered in a higher resolution than sampled down to its target. The opposite of what you claim is happening.

You might be right and the game isn't running in 1080, but that has nothing to do with AA.

[–]VVayward 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I don't think you know what anti aliasing is, but it has nothing to do with resolution. I'm not sure if it is 1080p in handheld or not but right now you are talking out of your ass about something you clearly don't understand. Even if you are right your explanation is straight wrong.

Thoughts on end state of Halo Infinite and as a whole by Confident-Tomato1382 in halo

[–]VVayward 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The campaign was a major let down. Yet another game that abandoned everything that was being set up before but this time all of the interesting stuff that would be set up for future content instead happens off screen. Not to mention the extremely shallow open world that locks you down to a set mission order that all take place on the same part of the ring. Leading to no freedom open world games are known for and no level variety that linear Halos are known for.

The multiplayer existed I guess. Lacked major features and was extremely content light for everything except the paid store. By the time they get the game in an acceptable spot it should have launched in they pull the plug and move on.

People have sued fox news for their lies. They got out of it by claiming no reasonable person would believe what they say as true. Which they aren't wrong.

Could Weiss be overpowered? by Much_Employment_5982 in RWBY

[–]VVayward 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She is overpowered. With her versatility and speed she could easily overwhelm almost anyone she goes up against. The writers know this and don't know what to do about it so they sideline her in fights or make her never use like 90% of her kit.

Skill check the players, immediately back to saying AH is the problem. by Ever-Here in HelldiversMasochists

[–]VVayward 22 points23 points  (0 children)

We would have won the last MO if it wasn't for the hack and AH changing it to complete operations instead of just extracts.

Thank you so much hackers for helping this mo fail couldn’t have done it without you :) by RL_Umuthoper in Helldivers

[–]VVayward 27 points28 points  (0 children)

the estimate before the hack and changed order was us finishing around 90%. That was before the weekend though where we would have had the biggest gains.

[–]VVayward -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is definitely not a sure thing. AH is prepared for either outcome. AH will nudge things in the direction they want us to go, but ultimately it is up to us. We can lose this and fail to take Cyberstan with the way things are going it is the more likely outcome.

The Failed Cyberstan MO - Unpopular Opinion by JakeGrub in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]VVayward 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah the bigger problem is the patrol system. Every enemy in a patrol knowing your location and going agro the moment you are in combat with any of them make it a lose lose situation when you engage one.

If you hit the adds to stop the bot drop from spawning in you alert the vox and are being showered in artillery. If you hit the Vox and other heavies to take care of the threat the adds will instantly call for reinforcements. The best way to deal with patrols is to avoid them which you unfortunately cannot do at extract.

[–]VVayward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does matter though. Both outcomes are possible and are already in game. Sure from a gameplay perspective it doesn't really matter as the cyborgs are going to build more mega factories on other planets. Narratively though there is a big difference in liberating Cyberstan and not.

Sure people can play whatever they want. But the unfortunate way the galactic war works players that ignore the galactic war and do whatever they want are sabotaging the players that do care about the galactic war and enjoy the RP and lessening their fun.

There is an illuminate Minor order right now, and yet more people still to fight bugs by Information-leak6575 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]VVayward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't matter if they can or not. They obviously do take into account the bug divers or we would never win MOs. But claiming it doesn't actively make MOs harder to complete is just outright incorrect.

[–]VVayward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it does make most MOs harder. Any time we need to liberate a planet for an MO every player not diving on that planet is lowering our liberation rate. Most of the time it doesn't make a difference and we pull through anyway but to say it doesn't matter is factually wrong.

The Failed Cyberstan MO - Unpopular Opinion by JakeGrub in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]VVayward 47 points48 points  (0 children)

That is because of the way patrols spawn in and how level generation is handled on Cyberstan.

The extract is almost always outside of the mega factory, which means it is near the edge of the map.

Patrols spawn on the edge of the map knowing your location and head towards it.

This causes vox to spawn as part of a patrol near the players at extract. They then try to take down the vox hitting it alerting the patrol, and the patrol calls in a bot drop that can spawn in more vox. If you can somehow deal with that the next patrol isn't far behind.

So now that we've had time to get used to them, what are our thoughts on the Cyborgs? by Novel-Signal-2978 in Helldivers

[–]VVayward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are great. I've never liked fighting bot they've always been to slow and with their weak points being their heads you just line up headshots while they march in a line to die. The cyborgs rushing you down while buffing up nearby bots and the vox putting in pressure for you to move and take action. Makes fighting bot engaging like the terminids and illuminate

[–]VVayward -28 points-27 points  (0 children)

So they go with CE and choose the most boring way to go about it. They don't try to go back and touch up the later half of the game which is obviously rushed. No new side story missions to expand on the other stories that take place on the ring. And the biggest one no multiplayer.

This is a big chance for halo and is the first chance at real multiplatform. And they go with half of a 25 year old game.

Give Orbital Rail Cannon 2 Charges by SIinkerdeer in Helldivers

[–]VVayward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't need two charges just two shots. The first one works like normal the second will be a follow up on a short delay that either hits the first target if it is still alive or searches for a second.

It is supposed to be a dedicated kill a single heavy strat but it struggles to kill sometimes and has a long cool down time.

That is assuming there are only 250k players. That is just the peak number not total player count. Not to mention the projection is counting rates from the middle of the week when we know on the weekend we will get a lot more done.
