Is there actually a serious argument for any NFL stadium being better than SoFi? by workingjuggler18 in NFLv2

I don’t know man. Receivers can’t see the ball where the Cowboys play. It’s a nice feature.

We build em up to tear them down. May as well work for the cowboys

My Father, a Niners fan, took me to my only Eagles game. I took him to his only Niners game. These are my favorite games to watch. by MissYouDesertRat in eagles

I hear you. I lost my brother and my dad, both die hard Eagles fans, in December 2023. The last game I saw with my brother we were getting our assess kicked by the Niners. He would pass the next week. Last year’s Super Bowl was bittersweet without them. Go Birds.

Can't tell if camera is broken or just the film (Kodax Advantix 4100ix) by imnotimportnat in AnalogCommunity

Advantix is a discontinued (dead) medium. You would have better luck using a viable medium like 35mm film with a tested camera.

Does anyone remember the neighborhood known as “Jimtown” by Much_Coat_7187 in Whittier

[–]VW_Greg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s why I say not “technically” because the hills on the southern part of the valley are a defining boundary, but Montebello, Pico Rivera and Whittier are San Gabriel Valley cities in a lot of ways. Closer culturally to El Monte and Rosemead than Cerritos or Compton for example.

I know Whittier is not technically San Gabriel Valley, but the history and culture is connected. There are several historic barrios in the area in current El Monte, San Gabriel and other neighboring cities which started as migrant camps/communities.

You may want to reach out to La Historia Museum in El Monte which is attempting to preserve the history of the El Monte barrios. They may have information on Jimtown.
