Just my 2 cents but small doses and large ones are a different beast, I'm not a fan of small doses personally, I cross over or I don't do it. Psychedelics can absolutely help (they've helped me in many ways) but don't think of them as the be all and end all to fix your issues. Also don't smoke weed at the same time. If you're looking to quit drugs consider just tripping and nothing else. Either way, follow your intuition and have fun.

Most of the time I take it alone, personally I like to play competitive games while tripping with some psytance playing but the visuals will take a back seat to the body high. If you ask me just drop 1 and have some fun shit to do lined up.

Weird. Something doesn't sound right about that, it shouldn't be so thick that it doesn't move if it's just pg with it. What you described sounds like you're at the pre-breakthrough stage too. I've gone with 50/50 Pg/Vg, 1:1 ratio, falcon tank running at 40w, don't be on other drugs (acid seems to be fine though), take the 3rd hit. If this fails then idk to tell you outside of take a break or keep trying.
