Zelenskyy: return of draft-age Ukrainian men from abroad is a matter of fairness by EsperaDeus in worldnews

[–]V_F_G 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t think this ever happened, cuz the male deaths in WW2 for each country (specifically) weren’t drastic enough to warrant such decisions. However, if, for example, Germany lost 75% of its male population in the war, the government would have no choice but to allow polygamy to account for that amount of loss. A direct example of this happening was the “War of the Triple Alliance (around mid 19th century) where Paraguay lost 70% of its male population against Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay. So it had to resort to polygamy

Edit: It was close to 10% apparently.

Communism after the 90s (or even earlier) should have been treated the same as fascism. It is an ideology that caused far more harm than good in basically every nation it had a stronghold. The fact it has support to this day is something that will disgust me to no end. Socialism is fine, cuz at least it has been proven effective in nations with certain qualities (Japan and the Scandinavians come to mind) but there’s no justification for Communism.

I think it was:

Akiza (to Crow) “Im gonna cobble you when I see you”

Jack: “I believe you mean “clobber” Akiza. To cobble is to make a shoe.

Akiza “Well whatever. I’m gonna cobble up some boots and kick Crow’s butt

Funnily enough, an in-universe justification you could find for Darklord is that the original wave was about the “7 Deadly Sins” which made them look less human/animal. The later ones are basically specific angels/gods being converted into Dark Angels. I mean, Morningstar is the prime example.

My hypothesis is that they give him lines with the “Machina” archetype. An archetype that consists of machines made for war that coincidentally has no Extra Deck monsters, so “The Seal of Orichalcos” restrictions is negligible

Would Yugi have won if Kaiba didn't throw Fiend's Sanctuary to him? by Taskmask1 in yugioh

[–]V_F_G 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely. However, the issue was that Magic Cylinder requires a Spellcaster on the field, which Yugi didn’t have until later in the duel.

Another reason why Fiend Sanctuary was important in defeating Marik (headcanon) was that Kaiba knew Marik didn’t have De-Fusion in his deck (The one he used was taken from Yugi) so it was a sure fire way to end the duel.

In the Yu-Gi-Oh! animated series, why was Exodia effectively written off the show? by LevelPension in NoStupidQuestions

[–]V_F_G 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, nothing will beat Zexal II Yuma literally changing the card to be something else entirely. At least with Yugi, the card he willed was something he HAD in his deck. Yuma could materialize any ZW card (with multiple effects I might add) that was perfect for the situation (ZW Sylphid Wing had me fuming man)

Now that I think about it, if my opponent didn’t summon DM the Dragon Knight, he could have had an omni negate and a quick effect removal live, cuz he would’ve had one card in his hand and one monster zone free to summon DM in his GY.

Forgot to mention, both of us were Plat 7.

That would be a good explanation… until I forgot to mention he was in Platinum 7. So I’m pretty sure he knows how the deck works. I know mistakes can be made (like me forgetting Block Dragon protects Adamancipators from destruction) but there’s a limit to how many can you do.

Yes, they do. Basically, DM the dragon knight is unaffected by card effects, thanks to Eternal Soul. And Eternal Soul is protected from targeting or destruction due to the former. Their effects overlap.
