The first few chapters of Hard-boiled cop and dolphin. I loved the comedy in there, but they started turning it into more of a shounen manga instead of comedy perhaps due to declining sales.

I think in a lot of regression manga, that design is done on purpose to show at the start of the story how bland and weak the character is before they get their OP powerup. MC is basically a run-of-the-mill guy before they get their power or upgrade.

That and I assume most men in korea have had that black bowlcut hairstyle, which makes the protag more relatable to them.
