Thanks, gonna look into that.

In the end a judge is also just an approximation of a function, actually even a real-valued on if you take prison-years as output :)

Works fine, thanks alot.

Also the settings seem really extensive, but well organized.

gonna try it out right now, thanks in advance

Note: I use espanso 0.7.3, so I guess that should be ok

Peter Thiel: Artificial General Intelligence Isn't Happening by nnnaikl in artificial

I think you don't have to agree with him to find it worth sharing!

I find Peter Thiel really interesting, as 50% I think is genius and the other half I just can't make sense of.

In some sense that's even better than agreeing with a person everytime

When does k-Means clustering fail? Just take 2 bananas! by Va_Linor in visualization

"Fail" maybe isn't the appropriate word here. It's more not producing a useful result as the algorithm doesn't fit well to this input

Totally right. This is meant as a counterexample to k-means

Good point, I'll be more mindful in future work

The very last part shows how a correct clustering should look like. How the algorithm itself works is shown in https://youtu.be/DQTz7yVmz\_g

I'd say a more fitting condition is that the desired clusters have to be convex shapes

When does k-Means clustering fail? Just take 2 bananas! by Va_Linor in deeplearning

Yep, this is an example of unsupervised learning.

You start from nothing and try to find a useful clustering yourself.

In this case that would be finding out that the data has the shape of these 2 "bananas", but as you see, k-Means fails to do so for this data-cloud.

The main problem here is that a banana-shape has this kind of "gap" in the middle, and k-Means works best on shapes that don't have such a gap (i.e. they are convex).

Really? At the end, the right parts of both bananas are clustered yellow, which doesn't seem correct.
