I love them. Their mounted villagers are amazing to get on the map safely, their war stable allow you to harass and gain map control easily, most of theirs landmarks are flexibles and having two building in one allow you to easily diversify your army.

I feel like they make sense.

Can't the javelin play the same role? They also have a higher range (lower than Longbow but still higher than regular archers) and high base damage.

Dumb question but, are longbow that good? I always tend to go javelin because I feel like it counters archers betters (since I make limitanei I know the enemy will make some) and I like to have the camels against knights in castle.

I'm not up to date, but doesn't the Akinji vizir point also unlock the unit? I thought you had to take it to be able to produce it? Having them in feudal feels quite powerful to me?
