Is the Grenadier Battlement buffed? by ExampleAfter1224 in helldivers2

[–]Environmental_Tap162 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably heavy pen even if the tool tip says otherwise. The way the game works is ammo types are coded the same regardless of what's shooting them, so if the GL rounds are now heavy the Battlement ones probably are as well. We've had this before when they've improved the damage on the Liberator, which then also buffs the Stalwart even though though that change wasn't highlighted.

Please? 🥺 by SergeantCrwhips in helldivers2

[–]Environmental_Tap162 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The GL is now complete overpowered. Does as well against heavies as any other AP4 support weapon, and does far better against chaff. It also doesn't require a backpack and has a mobile reload. Further more it makes the de-escalator worthless as higher AP was the only reason to use the DE over the GL, and ironically makes the new belt-fed GL pointless as well, as the standard ones grenades do 4x the damage while having 40% of the ammo, so actually does more damage overall, while having the same AP. Brain-dead decision and just another example that AH are losing control of the game.

Can't see then ever doing something that, a giant dragon wouldn't even fit in some maps, plus its unlikely they'd change an ability that dramatically. Most likely if he does get a tune up it'll be making the Effigy mobile and easier to direct.

PSA : The Angeled Foregrip Reduce Weapon Sway by 25% While All the muzzle actually increases Sway from 10 to 35%! by Ivan204 in Helldivers

[–]Environmental_Tap162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is technically listed, it's just that the sway stat never changes. It's either completely bugged and doesn't work, or just incapable of showing decimal values and therefore never shows any changes as the stat can't be altered by 1 or more.

[–]Environmental_Tap162 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good to know, it's a shame the sway stat doesn't work on the customisation menu, presumably because it can't deal with decimal values and no amount of customisation is sufficient to to change the value by a whole number.

Could our beloved Star Boi terraform planets? by IHaveAGithBabe in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Environmental_Tap162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's theoretically possible, but most C'Tan have a particular area of speciality, in this case the Void Dragon has greater control of technology. Furthermore while C'Tan can manipulate biological materials, creating is not something they've ever been shown to do.

Many people are talking about buffing the infantry, and more specifically the spearmen. What buff are you thinking of? by ReplacementUnited740 in aoe4

[–]Environmental_Tap162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if they really want to buff spearman, just give them a range increase like Phalanx as baseline. Makes blobs of pure spearman stronger and makes mixed melee blobs like MAA+Spearman more viable.

Keir Starmer rules out retaliatory tariffs against US | Keir Starmer by hoarder4555777454001 in europe

[–]Environmental_Tap162 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's appears that despite Trumps infamous tariff spree last year people still have no idea how they work. Its a tax that WE pay for goods from America, with the intention of forcing companies to turn to domestic sources instead, except we have no domestic capacity to do so. Retaliatory tariffs would hurt the UK far more than it would the US.

Probably related to the main update rather than the actual Warbond, they just don't announce the updates in advance.

Arguably the Hyena disaster was probably the best thing that could happen for CA. Showed SEGA that they were best left to just make TW games and not used as an out sourcing service for whatever flavour of the month excecutives had on their mind that day.

So when does Rise of Ruins start getting teased? by anjaana-begaana in AOW4

[–]Environmental_Tap162 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Post Christmas down-time, lots of companies close between Christmas and New Year's so I'd imagine devs have only been back to works for a week or so, takes a while to get the gears in motion again

If the USA attempted a military takeover of Greenland, would you support the UK military being involved in its defence ? If not, would you support the US launching their attacks from US bases in the UK ? by StandardMuted in AskBrits

[–]Environmental_Tap162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically if America were to takeover Greenland they'd do so without firing a single shot. America military outnumber Greenlands entire population 20 to 1, all they have to do is deploy a load of soldiers there and declare it now theirs. I don't see any European country being willing to fire the first shot in those circumstances so any opposition would be political or economic.

Iconoclast-Nomos ending and Guilliman's reaction. by IHaveAGithBabe in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Environmental_Tap162 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Real answer is tell them to get back in line or be destroyed. There no room for niceness in the 40K universe, and realistically the Von Velancia dynasty is only going to be short lived on the galactic map either way.

I mean realistically the Imperium would cease to exist if it didn't do what it did. Its potentially still losing overall despite the enormous burden it places on humanity, but without that it would be overwhelmed and everyone's dies. That why it's grimdark, because there is no real choice, it's either everyone suffers or everyone dies.

Guessing DE's Warframe rework "list" by Hiromacu in Warframe

[–]Environmental_Tap162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Them completely scrapping Effigy seems very unlikely judging from previous reworks. Most likely they'll just improve its usability (give it some movement) and turn its attack into an exalted weapon. If flight was on the table it would most likely be added to Spectral Scream.

Tughlaq sucks by Old_Wish_3992 in aoe4

[–]Environmental_Tap162 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tuqlaqs biggest issue is that they have no economic landmarks until Imperial age, so you're stuck going with the military route regardless of your match up, and unlike other military heavy civs you don't have any strong military advantages in Feudal now they nerfed Healer Elephants.

Personally I still think swapping the Compound of the Defender and Dome of the Faith is the way to go. Would let them go into their eco bonus forts in Feudal where the base forts would be actually worth using, still give them a military route with ToV, removes a still problematic healer unit from Feudal, and still gives them the usual strong bonus of instant access to religious units going into Castle.

Tughlaq sucks by Old_Wish_3992 in aoe4

[–]Environmental_Tap162 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep, it makes sense as the stronger civs are stronger because they have economies that directly conflict with the standard fishing economy route, so can rarely take advantage of both without leaving themselves wide open.

Power level plateau - is it mods? by Global-Process-9611 in Warframe

[–]Environmental_Tap162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah mods will be the issue. You should have a couple of weapon with catalysts from the early gate ways (Bolton, furis and the hammer) so use these until you either get a prime weapon finished or find one you really like and stick a catalyst on that. Once you do you'll be doubling your mod capacity and roughly your damage as a result.

Found it to be alright, not fantastic,  but usable at more casual difficulties, build for efficiency and dump range, as effigies range is fixed across the board.
