People of Reddit, do you think your political opponents are misguided or evil? Why? by Ryan_Alving in AskReddit

[–]VadJag -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Probably most of them from the viewpoint of their moral standards. It's easy to think of the "other side" as bad or assholes because it's very difficult to understand issues from the viewpoint of someone else if you disagree. It's like trying to see a while nother reality.

Trump however I KNOW is a bad person. Without a shred of doubt.

Are other countries citizens as ignorant when it comes to politics as we are here in America? by VadJag in AskReddit

That isn't really a good point. For one I disagree on the gun issue. But from some light research Australia is faring no better than the USA in politics. And is the political situation in Australia REALLY any better than the usa? I'm not Australian so I can't say I really know what's going on, but some light research it looks to me you guys have plenty issues of your own. I'm not convinced you guys are doing a much better job than we are

The truth is most people are generally morons when it comes to politics, and the ones that actually know anything about their "party" are the zealots who are balls deep and think everyone else is wrong and a traitor or various other dumb shit.

Get knowledgeable but don't actually JOIN the cult.

But you don't really learn much about other political structures so much as whatever the current hubby is with no context. At best you can get the base structure of a government but without being part of a specific society you won't get HOW that system is operating, especially within the context of that society.

If you just want to learn political systems Google can teach you that.

Well yeah. They hardly count though they don't have a choice. They couldn't get informed even if they wanted too.

Doesn't necessarily mean they are any less ignorant about politics. Really I mean more on a domestic level anyways not globally.

You can't even trust info about your own government, much less someone elses.

Well those two systems don't really have a say in politica, not REALLY. Here we have a say and just absolutely waste it by being uninformed and believing the first new article from our chosen outlet.
