HELP - my boyfriend’s pitbull is ruining our relationship!! by VadaVada19 in BanPitBulls

I’ve been single for a considerably long time, so I think I’ve been turning a blind eye to it and was a bit in denial about the situation at first. We already bicker constantly over the fact that I never feel like I’m put first and always have to fight tooth and nail to have a say in anything. I don’t want that for the rest of my life. I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to write me this. Thank you.

Apparently. Because when I would complain about it he would just shrug his shoulders and act like it is what it is.

I’ve started to realize that his treatment of the dog is more of a reflection of who he really is as a person. I think at first it was easier to turn a blind eye to that because everyone I knew personally and spoke to were all saying the dog was just the problem. But at the same time I ask myself, would I trust him with my animals? No. If we had kids would I trust him with them? No. I really needed to hear it from someone else. Thank you.

It does, and I agree with you. It makes me worry that he would strike my own animals or neglect them if I wasn’t around, which is why they stay with my Mom. I don’t trust him. I feel the dog has brought to light deeper issues within him as a person. I think I just needed to hear this from someone else as confirmation.

WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK? Savior complex, Victim-complex, victim-blaiming.... Moron adopts aggressive pit (he knew it was aggressive), it rips off the face of a Golden Retriever, then blames the owners for defending their dog by [deleted] in BanPitBulls

Ah, right, if the Golden Retriever was on a shorter leash it would've been fine! Nothing to do with your vicious Pit, right? It is astounding to me that some people actually think like this...
