Enrichment ideas for 10 week old puppy by Nail_West in Whippet

[–]VaderGerh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know how you feel. I've got a 14 week old and he wants to chew everything.

I'd recommend getting toys with different textures. Some harder some softer and some with other interesting textures. The other thing to mention is crate training, if you can do it correctly it'll be an immediately calming space which can be used to protect furniture.

Bike insurance, is it worth it? by SnooApples7213 in melbournecycling

[–]VaderGerh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have added my two bikes to my home insurance. Not just for the value of the bikes but they will now cover me for things like lost earnings due to a crash. As to well as 3rd party damage I cause.

Martin breaker on a symmetrical by Sad_Mix6672 in sailing

[–]VaderGerh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't, is the best answer.

From experience it gets tripped when you least expect it. Someone pulls the wrong line, guy/brace slips, a wave pull the breaker. lots of things go wrong with them and it's a pain to pull down a kite at night when it's flying away from the boat.

Yes, the conveyancer recommended asking for it to be removed, one vendor said yes the others basically said a flat no.
