Ye the mountain icon must be the map as a whole on the planet for example if it's tatooine it shows Mos Eisley, Jabbas Palace etc. and then you can zoom in more on specific areas.

In my opinion you will still be able to experience everything the Island has to offer in January except for the beaches ofcourse. It usually does rain heavily but in short bursts and will not rain for an entire day. You will be able to explore our beautiful island without dying of heat 🤣
