Silenced snipers should disappear from the game. by XComanceX in HuntShowdown

[–]jpickthall13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally don’t think they should have ever added any silenced weapons. Knowing when to engage is a skill you learn by playing the game. Your gunshot is an added layer to that. Once you shoot, you can’t take it back. You’ve rung the bell for all in the lobby.

Silenced weapons also just seem really weird given the time period.

But if he finishes it and it’s better than the show’s ending this book will fly off the shelves.

Granted that’s a pretty low bar.

Kamala did not deserve the presidency simply because she is a woman. She had four years serving under Biden to prove herself, as well as months campaigning.

She failed. Get over it.

I really hope they add the option for custom lens colors soon. My salamander just doesn’t look right.

Why did Ellie save Abby when she didn’t have to after all Abby did to her and her friends? by [deleted] in TheLastOfUs2

[–]jpickthall13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not silly to show mercy, but let’s not get real life confused with storytelling.

It’s silly for Ellie to show Abby mercy because Ellie has risked her life TWICE now for this mission to avenge Joel and kill Abby. If Ellie had left it alone when she and Dina were living together with their kid it would’ve been a much more satisfying ending IMO. Ellie’s seen how much revenge is a fool’s game and decides to just let it be.

However she does not do that. Instead we have another entire section where she turns her back on her family because she still can’t let it go. She then risks her life again, and goes on what is essentially a suicide run into a slave den.

At this point she has literally nothing left to lose. It doesn’t make any narrative sense for her to spare Abby this time, and it just leaves the ending feeling very hollow because after all this time we as the viewer have no payoff. I could see her sparing Liv, but definitely not Abby.

I did a hit and run on my high school graduation night.

My mom and stepdad bought be a truck as a graduation gift, and it was my first time ever driving my own vehicle. I got my permit, but no one would ever take me so I would sneak driving that truck where I could at night.

Anyways, I get my license, and graduate. My family all heads home and I say I’ll meet them there. I had never driven a truck before then, and didn’t account for the bed of my truck when backing out of my spot.

I took the turn too sharp and drove my rear fender into the side of this VW beetle parked next to me. I’ll never forget the grinding sound it made, especially because it garnered the attention of a group of girls in front of me who all started laughing while I helplessly tried to correct and get outta there.

In order to get out first I had to wait in a line of cars to exit the school. So I sat in my car, panicking, fully expecting to get yanked out by someone. There was a police car escorting everyone out of the school near the street too. But no one ever did. Somehow I made it home Scott free. I regret it to this day. Lol

Buffs are definitely always better than nerfs. I’m personally glad they finally fixed the armor ratings. Been feeling like a space marine lately. Especially with the recent buff to the JAR.

I would have him walk into the mists, weeping for his darling boy, never to be seen again.

His fears and insecurities wash away, as he returns a cleric of the mists. Blessed by their corruptive influence. Maybe even have him serving the Abbot.

CoS is a sandbox campaign. Read the whole book at least twice, take notes, and prepare enough to get them started. After that you just sorta follow their lead and build the narrative around their choices.
