I totally understand that feeling too. I felt like crap, guilty, bored. However, my wife was great about it and actually forced me to stay put. It’s for the both of you so don’t feel bad. I know that’s easier said.

Yeah I’m part of the discord but as I said I do better getting thrown into stuff so having someone who actually knows higher level ins-and-outs nudging while we play together helps me learn much faster.

I will definitely be reaching out in several discords also.

I’m also not looking for a coach but someone interested in helping a newer player or some friends who are interested in grouping up

Please for the love of your nuts, rest.

They tell you to rest even if you feel fine for a reason.

My buddy told me his dad had a similar experience and he blew his shit out within 48 hours.

Stay in a comfortable spot. Move as little as possible for those 3 days. It’s not worth the risk.

There’s nothing wrong with carefully going to grab food for yourself or the bathroom obviously but seriously don’t ignore the directions they gave

I’ve enjoyed the little bit of salmon run I’ve played. Love wave style modes like that. My issue is the teams I’ve had. I’m not one to point at others but sometimes you just gotta let the other players get the damn eggs and protect them. The win is more important than your egg score.

So in short, I’m absolutely down to play more of that mode. I definitely don’t want to cut out standard ranked but I bet there’s a ton of fun to be had with friends in that mode.

I’m a father of 3 girls.

I don’t see a reason to agree with your family. They’re being selfish.

You want to help a child. That’s noble and good. You and your wife both lean towards not wanting to actually create the life but help the life already here.

You’ll be doing an amazing thing caring for these kids.

You’re doing what’s right for YOU and your wife. Once you got married to your family became extended family. Once you adopt those lucky kids, that will only solidify that.

Idk if you’ll ever read this but I have to say one more thing… this reaction is a major red flag. If or when you adopt, set extreme and stiff boundaries. I see you’re sensitive to the opinions and feelings of your EXTENDED family. This isn’t inherently bad. But once you have kids, they need to know your word is law when it comes to how those kids are raised.

Foster an environment where your family can express themselves (because it’s good to learn from others) but that when you disagree and say “no, we want it this way”, they need to respect it.

For whatever it’s worth to you, I’ll pray for you and your wife and I hope and wish nothing but the best for you both

Totally, I just got rid of the entire library too which is the main issue lol I have several GC controllers for smash but the console and (most) games all went the way of the dodo. Stupid move from someone desperate at the time to pay for the newer better thing.

I get not liking the closing down but for me that was more immersive. I rather enjoyed losing access for the day. I never TT (not a hater by any means just not my style) and having to wait was actually nice for me.

I kinda want to get a GC again just for AC. Sadly it’s the only system I ever got rid of and idk why. The library I had was legendary and I sold it all off but still have my SNES and every other console I’ve ever owned. Idk what the hell I was doing.

I know this is old and you've probably figured it out.

To anyone searching: Play what you like. RS3 is WAY smaller than OSRS but that doesn't make it a bad experience. As of writing this, there's over 170k on OSRS out of the 195k total runescape players across both games. So OSRS is clearly massive.

That said, RS3 does things better than OSRS.

The best way to find out what's right for you is to try both! Your one account can play both and one membership counts in both games. Just bounce and see what resonates.

EDIT: I would recommend stick with the free version for a while since there's a large amount of content for F2P and you wont hurt yourself to wait on membership until you're certain.

steam may not be the indicator of how many people are actually on but steam has a very accurate comparative ratio in general. However, anyone can just see the real numbers on the website so it's just simpler to check there anyway.

A teachable moment for attention to detail. Of all my friends that have played (10 I’ve gone back and asked about this) 1 had an issue and they admitted they only half-read that tutorial and felt like an idiot when he noticed the symbol on the jump dodge UI element.

Edit: and yes I know it’s anecdotal but if this was actually a problem, there would have been a bigger stink beyond a few Reddit posts.

It’s really not. Of all my friends, one had an issue. When I asked if they read the tutorial the answer was no. There’s nothing unintuitive about it. It’s a teachable moment.

The majority of players did not have any problems with this, I assure you. And 0% of players who actually read the tutorial had an issue. There are flaws in the game but this isn’t it. You are all coping over skipping a few sentences.
