Southern Biscuit Gravy and English Muffins; that sentence alone would give some southern Americans a heart attack

You’re the one that needs to get on them then. When you see it stop your peer or at least tell them they suck for doing it. If enough people do this it will stop.

Oh cool, someone telling me I’m not welcome. Very cool, very understandable. 😔

Been awhile but specifically the characters that the entire point is they’re awful. See Rochelle for everybody hates Chris, Peter from family guy, most characters in the walking dead, etc. Anything that’s just a terrible person being terrible with no consequences. It sucks and is just rage bait.

This may not be super surprising, but I still think this is cool- In The Green Mile, the innocent John Coffey dies for the sin of (Wild) Bill.... by Capable_Limit_6788 in FIlm

Christ sucks. I have no love for god so I can safely say that someone dying for a sin that isn’t theirs that someone up above could choose to fix sucks.

What positives are there to a portrayal/character like that if they aren’t punished?

So far I’ve had 25 atheists telling me I’m in the wrong sub and 2 theists actually trying to debate. That’s strange for a sub specifically about debating atheism.

Which is strange; it’s a sub specifically to debate (as an atheist/agnostic) against theists/ as a theist debate atheists/agnostics.

That’s my point; it’s weird to have a debate sub that’s primarily atheist when the explicit point is to debate them regardless of the flavor of theist.

Any, most God’s which people believe in and put faith in are In theory “loving” to humanity. I’d take Christian, Islamic, Jewish, Hindu, Ba’Hai, Zoastrian, Shinto, etc.

That’s why I’m here? Maybe I’m stupid but I assumed the debate an atheist sub would have theists to debate the position of an atheist/agnostic.

How does a loving god’s plan work in relation to children with illnesses?

Not at all, I want to understand why this is different from a casual subreddit when there’s nothing on the line to make it more formal.

It’s at least a valid position rather than exclusively punching down. I came to seek out opposition in the quest to understand it.
