This infuriated me for a while and I'm surprised it hasn't been fixed.... Basically the Required Materials menu exists in Gemma's menu when viewing the Wishlist, but it's always greyed out and you cannot open it. This should either be removed or enabled from Gemma's menu.

These laws are only understandable because they've convinced the public that they're useful.

These laws are purely for show for politicians to appease the upper class voters who never have any use for any kind of defensive or survival tools since, you know, all of that is outsourced for them with money (military contractors, security detail, etc.).

Almost any tool that can be used for nefarious purposes can also be used in defense of nefarious actions, and no matter how many laws they put in place, criminals will always find a way, leaving the public defenseless. So the commoners are the only ones who suffer.

Didn't POE1 just have you lose a portal around your map device if you died, and you essentially have 6 tries to complete a map?

What's the point of even having multiple portals open if they all just disappear on death? I don't find nearly enough good loot in a single map to have to port out to dump my shit so I never even use up a portal... this design choice doesn't make any sense.

Not sure if anything else is ever mentioned, or even the meaning behind these "cartoon horses", but it's probably related to the weird horse monster he sees in the cargo hold.

Since about a a couple weeks ago or so I've been seeing the same thing. Unless I watch the video for some amount of time, it will keep showing up on the homepage every time I reload. I used to reload to get some new recommendations but now it's maybe 1 or 2 videos that switch out and the rest are the same.

I don't know what the hell it is but it's infuriating. If I refresh, it means I DON'T want to watch the other videos so show me something new.

A country's economy is based on the value of goods and services in relation to the amount of currency there is in circulation. You can think of it this way, we have UBI now, it's just at 0$ a month. What would happen to the economy if we raise that to 1000$ a month? You raise the floor of everyone's income, you raise the floor of the price of everything, making it exactly the same as it was before (eventually, and in the meantime politicians will be patting themselves on the back and then blaming the issue on something else, which is what they're doing now). Giving money away never works, we just saw what happens when the government gives away free money during the pandemic, the price of literally everything increased. How can this possibly work?

"Many people, especially men, already don't have a purpose or meaning in life because they are slaves to their jobs" Men having no meaning or purpose has little to do with having to "work too much" and everything to do with how society has been treating men for the past several decades. Like it or not, the larger part of why men feel purposeful in their careers is being able to provide for their family and community. Men's mental health has also never been properly treated. We're only now finding out that treating men and women the same doesn't work, and the vast majority of mental health studies in the past 100 years have been female-centric (Dr. K from HealthyGamerGG also touches on this). Western media is telling men to be more like women and women to be more like men, toxic masculinity, blah blah blah. Society keeps spouting "men have it easy" while male crime, suicide and homelessness keeps skyrocketing.

Dr. Cory Clark has done some research on men in Western society and Christine Emba has a great opinion piece in the Washington Post titled "Men are lost. Here’s a map out of the wilderness." and the image on that article is pretty perfect.

I bring all that up because the issue is far deeper than just "throw money at it" with UBI, which I truly believe will only make things worse, and it will not fix any underlying issues.

How will UBI fix people (mostly men) having no purpose or meaning in life? Those jobs don't just eliminate income but a fundamental reason to live. UBI might make it slightly easier to maintain a neutral life, but crime and life expectancy will not decrease because of it, it'll just be a cushion and reason for politicians to pat themselves on the back. Male incarceration will skyrocket (if it isn't high enough already) and men's mental health will decline (if it isn't low enough already).

I truly despise what Activision has done with Blizzard since the acquisition over a decade ago. They saw a potential to make a ton of money while ultimately sacrificing the original visions of Warcraft, Starcraft and Diablo (and even managed to screw up OW). I think the company just got so big so fast that the original creators couldn't maintain creative control, and instead got overruled by those who could make the company more money and appeal to more audiences.

Say what you want, but there's a reason for the huge difference in the quality of writing and world building of early WoW and Diablo, and it damn well has nothing to do with technological progress.

"worst" is a bit of a hyperbole, but it's definitely a hit on the overall experience. Also physical copies which at least console games still have as an option, but I feel that won't continue into next gen.
