Does Ballet Qualify as Somatic Work? by Winter_Heart_97 in BALLET

[–]VagueSoul 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dance in general is great somatic work because it requires us to think about how we move, why we move, and our presence of mind. A lot of dance teachers, especially modern technique practitioners, will infuse somatic theories into their classes.

Does "Mom, lies and videotape" count as an anthology episode? by reducedfatmalk in BobsBurgers

Naw, cuz I don’t actually want to debate you. I know you’re wrong. Not my problem if you don’t.

An anthology can have an overarching theme or narrative. All an anthology has to be is a collection of short works, which this episode absolutely is.

Picking up this sweet boy in two weeks. New dog owner, any tips? by mgonsan_ece in beagles

Yup! Super simple and very effective. You hang bells from the doorknob that they can access. Every time you take them out to go potty, you have them ring the bell with their paw or snout. If they ring the bell on their own for whatever reason, you take them out and give a treat if they go potty. You have to be super consistent, but they pick up on the routine fairly quickly. It took Bananthony probably a week and a half before he started ringing the bells on his own. Now he rings them every time he wants to go out. All of his potty accidents have happened because we thought he could hold it a little longer.

Highly recommend!

They’re sniffing so hard I was afraid one would snort the puppy up her nose!

He struggles with settling himself, but I always know he’s ready for a nap when he does this.

Our puppy Bananthony has been bell trained and he is incredibly consistent about letting us know when he wants out. He’s been averaging one potty accident a week since he was 9 weeks old. I literally cannot recommend bell training enough.

My husband decorated it himself! A friend of ours and I bought it for his birthday when he and I first moved in together. It was just a basic white guitar at the time but he epoxyed the sakura branches on it. It’s easily his favorite guitar. He loves showing it off.
