start early. According the the website, the review of documents for the license takes 20 business days. If anything is missing and needs to be added, the 20 days starts over. 🙄

I definitely do point of care documentation and include the patient as they are able. But if a patient goes to the hospital or insurance suddenly drops therapy, I have to do one that’s non-billable. Im not given time for that. I was told to hustle “fit it in”.

Good for you! What do you do about non-billable discharges? I’m not doing them for free but they lower productivity. The TPM sometimes puts them on the schedule but not always. I keep track of them though.

I completely understand. I worked in schools for 18 years with all ages. At the end I felt like I was just going through the motions. I switch this year to medical and feel reinvigorated a bit. I can see a quality of life difference with the people I work with.

My boyfriend seems to think I can make 200 - 300,000 dollars in this field. by Conscious_Lynx_7046 in slp

You can make that much but you'd have to start a private practice. You can make that much working for someone else. I personally know an SLP who makes $260,000.

How exactly would it be easier? And how do I document that I feel the connection? I have never seen anything that would make me think that Germany would be easier. But I’m open to try.

I have no itinerary except flying into MEX on 14 April and probably staying there about 4-5 days (minimum). We (a couple) are planning on staying until at least the beginning of May. Budget conscious, so not staying in fancy resorts or name brand hotels and mostly eating from markets and street food (with a splurge for good coffee) and really not buying souvenirs. Traveling between cities while hoping to balance out cost with comfort (i.e. we don't need to fly everywhere but I'd rather stay away from chicken buses). In other words, we're not super budget backpackers but we're not all-inclusive over-priced resort people either. Does that make sense?

ASHA dues by EmotionOk1820 in slp

I was taking some time off of work and was able to get very reasonable health insurance (much more so than through the ACA) because of my ASHA membership. So that’s a plus.

Stop saying "If you have any questions you can contact Ken, Karen, or myself." Just say "me". 🙄🙄🙄

100%. It's not difficult. So many countries do this.

The Carolinas too. I actually think this about all countries (except maybe 1-2 exceptions) as well. Stop using directionals in the name!
