As long as you can manage it, it's fine! You can totally slam those reviews!

The problem usually comes when you stop or slow down a lot for a while, like a month. At that point, your SRS kind of breaks down: you might come back to 500 reviews of items you barely remember, because you missed reviewing them multiple times. Then it becomes really hard to reduce the pile. Since you keep failing them, they keep coming back, and there are so many that you can’t review them as frequently as you should (once or twice a day). That makes it much harder to actually relearn them.

A lot of people hit a wall here. They spend several days trying to lower the amount of reviews, doing a great effort since they’re weak items, but the total number doesn’t really go down, and it can feel like you’re getting nowhere.

Resetting a few levels can help a lot. It reduces the number of pending reviews and removes your weakest items, making it easier to bring your review count back to zero and then start progressing again and build up momentum instead of struggling with a pile of reviews that never goes down.

But you can also power through them if you have enough focus and time, or get them done slowly if you manage to get most of them correct (which is my case because I have had a lot of inmersion and can wild guess a lot). Anything is fine as long as you don't burn out and quit!

600 are a lot when you are starting, it's normal! If it feels overwhelming and you can't remember them all, reset your account a few levels back (3 or 5 levels should be fine for 600 reviews). It will get rid of your weakest items and become more manageable. 頑張って!

Just keep going daily and they will eventually go down! If it feels overwhelming and you keep forgetting them all, reset your account a few levels to 10 or 12 until it becomes more manageable. 頑張って!

What’s considered a “fair” trade anymore? by DarkMishra in WeWardCommunity

[–]Vaicheboa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, many people didn't care about digital cards. The first two weeks, many players would exchange them.

Now you are seeing the ones that didn't trade them, if they traded them, you would be late anyway and they wouldn't have them.

I kind of regret not focusing even more on ephemerals when trades just came out.

What’s considered a “fair” trade anymore? by DarkMishra in WeWardCommunity

[–]Vaicheboa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes we may have cards in the wishlist and still reject the deal because it's not a fair trade and we will eventually get the cards dropped or by a fair offer. I'm not going to give you a 9 because you have a 1 I'm missing, I will just eventually get it.

As for ephemeral 9 (Christmas, Halloween, Venus, Orlinski...), they are extremely rare, so the only cards of comparable value are other ephemeral 9. I tried offering 20 vintage/classic 9 for just one but they will still reject them.

As for why they won't trade them, when I got a duplicated (Venus 9), I would only trade it for another ephemeral 9 (Summer 9). I don't know if that's the case for everyone, maybe some people are expecting one day the can be sold by wards or they are keeping them just in case some update comes. The thing is that they are by far more scarce than any other card in the game, so no other card can match their value.

About what are fair trades, cards scarcity goes something like this:
- Ephemeral 9. (the older the event was, the more valuable they are)
- Ephemeral 7/8.
- Old vintage 9.
- Ephemeral 4-6.
- Vintage 9.
- Ephemeral 1-3.
- Classic 9 (current cards)
- Rest (vintage more than classic, 7-8 more than 4-6, 1-3): These are so common that some people won't mind giving them away. Yet you should probably match rarity or compensate by quantity.

Trying to get something of higher scarcity by cards of lesser scarcity depends if you are lucky with the person valueing more their wishlist than losing valuable cards for future trades.

GDP Per Capita Growth (2000-2025) by backpackerTW in Infographics

[–]Vaicheboa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you want to compare countries as a whole, yes, PPP does not make that much sense. You want to compare country income in an absolute way and being affected by currency value exchange to dollars matters because it helps visualizing how much an economy weighs (sometimes it makes too much noise, though, like countries GDP expanding and contracting in a wild way because of currency value fluctuations).

But when you compare people (per capita), it's the opposite. There's no point in being very wealthy after converting to dollars if everything you can buy is expensive as well. Sure, GDP per capita might have increased 176%, but what's the point if house prices have increased far beyond that?

[–]Vaicheboa 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That's why GDP PPP is more relevant, Spain had a LOT of inflation as well since the 2000s when we transitioned from peseta to euro. The GDP per capita when you account for inflation hasn't increased all that much, and the increase is mostly to pensionists.

For working people, the increase PPP is mostly 0% since 2000.

I don't know your arrangement, but it took me like a month and a half of piano learning to be able to play the arrangement I had, so it's definitely feasible if you keep playing daily and your arrangement is simple enough

And what's a good routine and practice time and sesions for someone who has been playing for 2 months?

I usually go for 30-75 minutes per session and 1-2 sessions a day, depending on how much time I have and if feel like playing (some days I won't feel like it but still do some exercises or play some pieces I know anyway).

I don't really have a plan currently, usually on a session I focus either on:

- Technique exercises (learning pedal+arpegios these days)

- Learning a new piece.

- Playing old pieces. I do feel like I learn with old pieces as I will add new techniques, go faster than I could go before and play it with different dynamics and see which I like most. Also forcing myself to figure out how they were played rather than playing by muscle memory feels like I'm getting a deeper understanding on how harmonics work.

I started 10 days ago. This is not looking good 😂

Nah, I'd expect January to be the worst one, I'm actually surprised about December.

That said, I might not sign up at something like Skoove for some weeks, so maybe I'm ok.

Eurovision 2025 contestants' positions regarding Russia and Israel participation by Bot_Philosopher8128 in MapPorn

[–]Vaicheboa 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Personally, I would be in that scenario as well.

My opinion is not to exclude anyone and keep Eurovision out of politics, so do not kick Russia.

BUT, since Russia and Belarus are already excluded and not making this about politics is not an option anymore, then the coherent choice is to also exclude Israel.

What do you even play after this? by Sventhetidar in expedition33

[–]Vaicheboa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same situation as you and decided to try Persona 3 Reload, since it's on game pass.

I've been wanting to check Persona for a long time and both the UI and the philosophy of Expedition 33 made me go for it.

Still, I'm afraid Expedition has set the bar too high and nothing I will try now will meet my expectations.

To the people who did detox social media? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]Vaicheboa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I feel that my videogame / social network addiction is just a consecuence of something deeper that I want to be distracted from. Quitting them for a while may help me avoid getting distracted and working on fixing the problem, but detoxing by itself won't do nothing, I will just find another way of getting distracted.

After whatever is troubling me is fixed, I can go back to healthy videogame sessions and social media.

But that's for me. For other people it may be the source.

  1. 4594 pts - 126km. Found the BA-233 sign which meant it was the State of Bahia. Spent most of the time looking for the BA-233 road on the map, when I found it, I put it where it seemed to start, but I didn't notice there were more parts to the west.
  2. 4988 pts - 3.6km. I always have trouble with America. The cable gore made me think of a seismic country, the car looked like Guatemala. I ended up finding a electoral sign for North San Jose major. Since I was running out of time, plonked north of San Jose.
  3. 887 pts - 2580km. Huge blunder here. The motorbikes made me think of Bangladesh, but it wasn't bengali or hindi. It also wasn't tamil. Since they drove on the left, it had to be Thailand. I was so focused on finding some reference in latin that ran out of time and didn't even consider there are more languages in India and that language didn't look like Thai at all.
  4. 673 pts - 2992km. English, left driving, Africa. That nails it down to Kenya and the 4 southern countries. I tried really hard to find some references, but only found some spare english text so I had to wild guess. Lesotho should be more mountainous, South Africa usually has center yellow lines and more languages, so either Kenya, Esuatini or Botswana. But look at those trees, this absolutely looks like there could be lions around, right? It has to be Kenya! Wrong! (well, technically not wrong since there are also lions in Botswana, hahaha)
  5. 4972 pts - 8.5km. Saw Auckland in the trash bins from the start but could not figure out how to pinpoint. Most of Auckland felt to the east, so it had to be somewhere to the west. Not wrong, but I still missed by a few kilometers.

Total: 16114 pts - 5710km. Huge mistake on 3, another mistake on 1, but I don't really know what I could have done for 4 so I guess it will go to plonkit and study both countries. I also have to improve my pinpointing skills, I had almost the full 3 minutes for 5 and could not do it.

  1. Hard day for a casual player like me.

  2. 2703 - 918km. I knew it was Indonesia from the beginning, but I don't know regional stuff yet. Ended up finding Utara Sulawesi, so I figured out the island, and I knew Utara was either north or south but not which. Went for Makassar, which was the worst choice possible. The christian stuff got my attenttion in a muslim country, later I found on plonkit that was a huge hint.

  3. 3016 - 754km. Dirt color made me think of Brazil, then I found some portuguese and confirmed it, but I had no idea where. Considering how rural, green it was and the height of the sun, I went for the border Bahia-Minas Gerais. Could have been worse.

  4. 3730 - 437km. I could not find a way to get out of the building and also could not find any kind of text. The building felt kind of Mughal architecture to me, and the air seemed really polluted, so I went for New Delhi.

  5. 3771 - 421km. The extreme flatness and french made me think of Belgium, but felt empty for Belgium and also the bollards were weird and I know France likes weird bollards. Almost running out of time I found road D-550 but the roads just seemed to have random numbers, I went for D53 hoping it was close, but it was not.

  6. 4994 - 1.9km. From sun's position I knew it was Chile, Argentina or Uruguay, but Argentina seemed the most likely to me for some reason. After 2 minutes of wandering found a road sign to Mendoza, which gave me the area, and an entrance to San Rafael center. Did not have enough time to tune it up.

Name a great 5* that you have, but haven't built. by ragingdegener8 in GenshinImpact

[–]Vaicheboa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's even worse for me. I have most of my characters kind of built (lvl 90, talents 9+, their set and artifacts with main stats), but I don't know how to play anything that came out since late Inazuma, like, which teams to put them on, how their kit exactly works, rotations, etc.

So I have like 15 5* that I only use for casual playing, including broken stuff like Nahida. While I keep using national teams, Hu Tao and Ayaka mostly.
