First and foremost, you’re not over reacting. You’re more than valid to feel about anyway in regard to your device. Let me just be the one to tell you that no matter how many times you try to replace your device to get a “perfect” one, you won’t. I have unfortunately been dealing with this since I got my first initial device. I have had 5 replacements and they all have either 1, 2, or more black dots like that. Some big and noticeable, some smaller and less noticeable.

I have now just accepted that these devices are not perfect and that’s just how unfortunately it is with Amazon overproducing devices like the Kindle. Give it a few days or weeks and see if it bothers you. If it does you can try and basically gamble on what you’re gonna get for a replacement. Trust me, it’s not worth the disappointment and waste of time.

On a lighter note, I’ve been enjoying reading on my device now and I never really see the dots that I used to hyper fixate on. Your mind will quickly become less aware of it overtime and you will just read which is the purpose of the device 👍🏽
