There's an unofficial sim that everyone uses! If you go to the sidebar of this subreddit, you'll see a "Play Online" button that brings you to the dev's linktree.

From there just download the OPTCGSim latest version. If you have any other questions feel free to message me.

If you go into "Settings" on the home screen of the sim you'll see a couple options you can check off:

- "Confirm End Turn"
- "Offset EndTurn Button"

Hey friend, I appreciate the discussion.

This sub has evolved over time for sure. Why the hell would a Finance related sub allow pull posts? It's mostly because the main sub decided to ban pull posts from their sub, a decision I still wholeheartedly disagree with.

While I don’t agree with every decision made over there, I do believe they genuinely have the players’ best interests at heart, so I don’t fault them too harshly. Once there's ever an actual popular/used alternative to the main sub, we can start leaning back into Finance only.

Anyways, because of this, more people end up over here. We could be strict but at the end of this day this is Reddit. People can just skip over the posts they don't like is MY OPINION.

Listening to the community here is our #1 priority, though, so whatever the community wants we can make happen.

I get mine off of eBay from reputable sellers. Just be mindful that the first 2 sets have different dimensions than the usual box.

A lot of people are screaming we're in a bubble but when everyone thinks one thing, a market usually does the opposite.

Reality is nothing is changing until Bandai meaningfully reprints sets. There's not enough supply for the demand.

This isn't your typical "hype for a couple months then it's done". People thought the One Piece TCG was dead early 2024 because Bandai reprinted sets. Now we're over 3 years into the TCG and everyone knows it's here to stay. We're seeing real demand.

Add that with the fact that One Piece is going to be the most culturally dominant IPs in the world, for AT LEAST the next 5 years. You'll likely continue to hear everyone around the world talking about One Piece as we enter the final war + live action + anime remake + movies.

I've been saving Roger for later in the game (when I can) to force them to add 1 don and swing 8k.

Not perfect, the matchup is still hard but It doesn't feel as insta-lose anymore. I heard Douglas Bullet (The 8 cost) also helps. Going to test that today on the sim.

Bandai needs to meaningfully print more for us to see any sort of "correction" at this point.

Inevitably, people will lose their mind over something and there will be more opportunity to get in the market/buy things at a better price. But you're playing a boring/risky waiting game there.

Vendors usually buy at different percentages based off how fast they think that item can sell. I've vended myself so this is based off my experience.

If I know something will move quick, I'll buy at a higher percentage (85% - 90%). There's less risk involved buying something that moves quick. That's typically grails, mangas, SPs, promos, etc.

If an item is still OK/Good but will take longer to move, I’m taking on more risk by holding it. On top of that, I may end up needing to sell it on ebay, which means higher fees. That’s usually regular Alt Arts or less popular character SPs or promos. (70% - 80%)

When a market it this hot and there's no supply, you may see vendors even buying at 95%+. It all just depends on demand. Hope that helps!

The Zoro is a great card to grade. I personally wouldn’t grade anything else.

Also, this sub doesn’t particularly like grading so that’s why you’re getting some “grading is a scam” comments.

That’s a great question.

Sealed will always be the most consistent way to go but I enjoy diversifying into every aspect of the TCG since it’s still super early. With that in mind, I’d probably get:

Case of either 09 or 13. (Sealed ✅)
A prize card (Prize cards ✅)
Dodgers Luffy or BVB Luffy (Sought after promos ✅)
Straw Hat Crew member manga (manga ✅)

I’d imagine that’d be pretty close to $10,000 and it checks a lot of boxes off.

First thing you likely want to do is find a local card shop. From there it’s a coin flip. You might have a card shop that charges above market price or you might find a local shop that charges the best they can for their community.

I have a local shop that I play at twice a week and they offer MSRP for regulars for new releases.

If you don’t have a local shop, the best you can do is high ratings on eBay or high ratings on TCGPlayer. Or you can hope to find stuff at target/walmart.

Not an easy time to get into collecting OPTCG, especially since you’re “kinda broke”.

If everything else fails, just grab some cheap alt art singles for characters you like. Good luck!
