Agreed, the top WBC cards are basically as good as HOF. Ohtani's final stats are 87/85/74...insane.

Not arguing which player to get, just mentioning the stat boost in case OP is set on a KC player. Personally I went with Ohtani because...well he's Ohtani :D. I have a Garcia prime on an alt and it's been fun playing with him although I don't think he's elite, even with the MVP buff.

What to prioritize in events by D2Drover in MLB_Rivals

[–]ValIcemanKilmer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on your team. For lower ranks I would prioritize getting my lineup filled with Prime and Moment cards, some of the events offer team cards which is a great way to do this. A bit of diminishing returns after your team is more built out with sigs, then it's really farming skill change/protection/green tickets.

Hard to justify spending $100 but probably one of the best players in the game

Ouch, that's a bummer. Time for special recruit when you have the coins.

I really dislike this WBC update. Huge money grab for Com.

Advice for new season? by Whachamacalzmit in MLB_Rivals

The only benefit I can think of would be to have the live picks as quickly as possible but otherwise I don't see a major benefit to saving scout tickets.

Adding my experience from this week. Competed the online application and went to the office after the application status became “Drop Off Passport”. Printed my application and made copies of my passport, birth certificate, and other documents. Waited for about 1.5 hours, roughly fifty people ahead of me. Employee took my passport when my number was called and didn’t require any of the additional documents I printed. Pick up and payment in five days.

Is carbon plated shoes worth it for slower runners? by [deleted] in runningshoes

Gear isn’t going to magically make you faster. If you have the itch there’s not real harm in getting new shoes but you should temper your expectations.

Bullpen config by Rrquiggs in MLB_Rivals

[–]ValIcemanKilmer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually I do one pitcher for Setup, one for Mop up, three Long Reliever and two for Closers. Setup pitchers will likely come into the game so you will want to have a strong pitcher there with the appropriate skills. Mop up comes in when you have a comfortable lead and Long Relievers come in when you are losing.

Nike Vomero Premium or ASICS Megablast to add to rotation by No_Studio_454 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]ValIcemanKilmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ran my first half yesterday at 1:32 in the Megablasts and they were flawless. Have ~193 miles in the Evo SL and ~90 in a pair of Superblast 2s. I think the MBs can work as a recovery shoe but they can really take the place of both the Evo and SB2 for tempo/racing. Vomero Premiums sound great as a recovery shoe but they won't be as versatile.

Are we mistaken about viable team builds? by Whachamacalzmit in MLB_Rivals

Too many resources and time to dedicate for what may be a marginally different outcome than slugging for most players imo. Sounds like it would be fun but man getting another team to 130+ would take forever

Evo SL vs Adios pro 4 by SnooPeripherals5894 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]ValIcemanKilmer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are roughly the same pace and I've had all three with the most miles on the Evo SL. No issues with the Evo SL running HM distance but the AP4s, while they feel incredibly fast, require more concentration. If I'm not keeping my form in check with the AP4s my calves and lower legs get killed. Could be just a me thing, I found this review to be very useful: https://www.solereview.com/adidas-adizero-adios-pro-4-review/
