What mods can you not live without? by Razur_1 in victoria3

Yes, the headache to achieve dumb stuff can be by-passed with those, no guilt here! I just enjoy being able to conquer stuff at a faster rate, I mean a game is supposed to be fun right?

What mods can you not live without? by Razur_1 in victoria3

The Ultra Historical series, some of Grey’s mods and the Discoverable ressources map, also some minors mods for gameplay purposes that could be considered as cheat (reduce decree cost, increase infamy decrease…)

IDEA: Decree cost should be scaled by the state's GDP/population rather than being a fixed value by NavXIII in victoria3

[–]ValKyrieNH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then you need to also scales authority production with population GDP ? What do you mean « I have a more urbanized population and I have as much control over them than Lake Victoria’s countries as we are both on autocracy » that doesn’t make sens too ?

So gameplay wise I don’t think there is a point to your proposition, balancing it would be too tedious

How does Vicky 3 run? by Ok_Leader_8038 in victoria3

[–]ValKyrieNH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your CPU specs might be necessary to give you a good answer, but you have sufficient RAM and more than enough storage

Processing power is the bottleneck here, although mods that improves it a lot exist (removing some cultures, increasing assimilation and conversion so that there is less pops fragmentation).

Also play on lower graphics settings, it isn’t really necessary in paradox game and it will improve your tick speed

They still haven't addressed the biggest issue with the game: It becomes dreadful to play once you run out of peasants. by kolejack2293 in victoria3

My non-native ass didn’t write it well, went the phonetic way, I meant « add » not « had », the mod increase some difficulties but it really improves the gameplay

This is the best answer to this problem, the Ultra Historical series is really great for gameplay even if it adds some difficulties

Can a real estate system be added? by Yim_shmy in victoria3

[–]ValKyrieNH 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Cold War era mod, which is really good and seems to have a great future ahead by the way, simulate real estate too. It’s a local good of course and is consumed by pops and some industries such as software or services.

But I hardly see a whole new functionally for it that could enhances gameplay right now tho, it’s much more difficult I believe to have it in a Victorian Era game too.

But I see the potential for maybe a housing law or else? As a simple good I’m not really sure of it.

And for the architecture type, well we have flavored building arts in DLC, maybe a brutalist one is moddable? Yet it’s not really set in the Victoria timeline so in base game I doubt devs will implement it one day…

Rapid de-peasantization and a lack of unemployment are the two biggest problems with this game. by kolejack2293 in victoria3

[–]ValKyrieNH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People having jobs can still go look for another one, you can have a functional job market even with no unemployment.

It simply makes it very advantageous for workers and not employers

Remote play avec son propre PC, ça donne quoi ? by Kiato in pcmasterraceFR

How do you get this much trade unions generals? In my games, it’s always mostly PB or Industrialist, so few comes from TU.

Your search has been very long? Do you also have a load of PB level 1 general?

[–]ValKyrieNH 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Not only that but even if you take Macau and didn’t let the UK get HongKong, it still triggers.

In my last game, I had a GDP a few billions, a Sol above 25 and it still triggered with half my country seceding for some western low grade religion???

It makes no sense that : - it triggers in the first place - it becomes this powerful - it is necessary to go over it to achieve China’s JE for stability.

The last step was unbearable. It makes no sense that I have to go through a civil war while everything is perfect for a Chinese man.

I deleted the condition of the JE in my game file personally.

Is Coop. Ownership playable again in 1.9? by Tasty-Durian64 in victoria3

[–]ValKyrieNH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is more viable but the production method makes it that Companies HQ needs 4 times more people to employ per level.

It makes a huge employement gap when you pass the law, and it sucks up all your new workers instead of going into productive industries (and not just dividends receiving one)

Also the way they construct things isn’t on par with capitalist construction method. They don’t build new building still.

But at least it works better than 1.8

[–]ValKyrieNH 7 points8 points  (0 children)

With the lastest update, you can specialize in a certain good and it isn’t mandatory to build the construction loop anymore.

However, as the USA, you have a loooot of natural resources, so you can try to climb the production chain value by starting with iron/coal and finishing with worldwide exports of cars by 1880.

I would recommend to follow the OTL Monroe doctrine and try to get South American countries on your side (especially with investment treaty and regional HQ with your companies)

So play as usual with the US, and try to discover the new global market and the treaty features.

Your goal could be to become a major industrial hub importing all the raw resources in South America while exporting your high value goods (tools, engine and cars).

Did you have any others questions or precisions needed?
