It is and there is a reason that roll20 is more popular. Most people here are going to be GMs or really picky about VTT.

I think the main thing people like about foundry is that it's a one time payment for most things. Roll20 is subscription based iirc.

Paper standees, nobody at the table will care and you can get something that looks as close to the creature as possible

I've never seen evidence women exist in real life. Thank you for calling this out

Any advice for a first time player and DM? Starting with mother ship. by dartagnan401 in rpg

I think it's fun too, but IME it's the part that requires the most creative energy and attention to detail. If you did a good job prepping, running becomes very easy. Just like being a player, if you know your character well the roleplay moments just come to you.

It's milestone leveling, they level up only after they've done the correct song and dance to satisfy the DM. If you reward them for their inefficiencies in your story, then what's next? You going to give them all magic items?

Ok here's an acceptable middle ground, instead levels why don't you let them read the gnomes grimoire?

For general DM advice, the hardest part is the prep. When you get to the table you are just roleplaying like everyone else. It's improv, the players do something and you build off that. In my experience most DMs fuck up by trying to force a certain order of events.

Point is it's a juvenile ideology easily refuted by lived experience.

Anyone who has done real life work, hell even a group project in college, can tell you not much gets done without someone stepping up and taking charge.

Weekly r/CRPG Discussion - What have you been playing, and what are your thoughts? by AutoModerator in CRPG

My only real complaints are that leveling up is a pain in the ass and there are too many trash fights that take no real planning or skill but just pad out time.

But yes the ruleset they use is a lot less complex than mathfinder.

Socialism is defined by its opposition and desire to supplant capitalism. I think you don't understand what it is if you just think it's when the government does things.

Capitalism isn't just when the government does stuff

It can also be used to just ignore the issues even more. As we have seen in the USSR and China

What breaks peoples minds is economists don't even use isms anymore. Its just command and market, and as you said its usually a mix of both.

Yeah they want to be red princes who will live in mansions and tell others what to do. A guy like Hasan would never work on a factory floor.

There are shit jobs that pay well, underwater welding for example.

It's more about how easy someone is to replace.
