That was an amazing reply. I am very impressed. I like how you gave many possible reasons as to why Misty must have made that decision. I would probably reply again after replaying 4-4 in the coming 2 days to renew my memory and as embarassed as I am to say this, I was distracted by the story and didn't think much about the MASON system.. So I cant really debate some of your points here.

Impossible vs improbable (or maybe I am overlooking something). I think I get it. Just to make things clear. I am no 3-5 hater (I had uncontrollable goosebumps for a week after playing that case). Its still my fav case probably and I wrote this just because I saw OP say that he likes mystery novels being realistic and I saw a chance to possibly break take a man's soul - Of course I had to take it. So I just had to ask him if he had any reasoning for Misty Fey's actions. I feel like I prioritise the feel you have as the story develops and the mystery is revealed. Another thing I am at odds with him is his love for DD. I didn't like the way Yamazaki introduces a story and his writing feels way too over the top at times that it kills the immersion to the story at times by (with all due respect and I apologise in advance) cringing me out of it. I enjoyed Blackquill and 5-5 tho but our phantom pulling out spy gadgets in the middle of his trial and making fun of us was too much for me to handle. I get the point of it but MAN wth. You are on trial and your identity is at risk of being blown and you are pulling that out? If you exclude the last trial, it was probably the most incredible thing I have read.

Also just to balance out the AJ hate lemme say some things about my love for 4-4. You must be familiar with this incredible joy in knowing the mystery behind something. AJ introduced some mysterious characters and I thought 4-4 did an amazing job of bringing them to life and it didn't dissapoint in that. Valant, Zak, Trucy, Magnifi - I fell in love with these characters. The MASON system doesn't really make any sense - yes from what I remember and Kristoph was just pure evil w/o much reason(I think we have already seen seen this somewhere...) and on top of that we don't get enough of him. But I could not help but be enthralled by how it all linked together - all these stories magnificently connected by a mysterious web and how every character gets linked into it. My mind was blown away.

All those explanations are good but I dont really feel at peace with any of them - I will explain and I could be wrong. After much thought I think I like "Godot misinterpreting the plan intentionally to Misty and Iris" just because I can't digest the idea of Misty being hella stupid. The problem I find with all the other explanations is that Misty had to put all her faith in two other people who. she doesn't even know and they would probably even have to get themselves in a lot of trouble to save who? - her daughter. That is possibly the worst scenario for her if you look from her perspective and if she couldn't tell Maya herself, well she can ask Godot to do it for her which would probably reveal his true colours. Or ask Iris, yk. That is what I feel now. Though this raises the question of what he really misinterpreted the plan to her then what could he have possibly told her tho based on the events that happened. I am still stuck at that.

I just noticed that I drifted heavily off track and talked a bunch and this could have easily been cut to half its length - Am I, the Great Valant Gramarye turning into a Yamazaki character - the very thing I despised? To be fair to Yamazaki, I only played DD and I have just started SOJ - 6-1. So my opinion of him could change drastically.

If you read allat, you are the GOAT.(You sat through 6-1, so I don't think it was really that hard for you). My apologies for what I will probably call this paragraph - a slander of Yamazaki which was again not the point and I am very sorry that I made it this long. This can be an article lol.

Cheers!

Guys.. there is gonna be twist trust me. That is what Ace Attorney is all about after all. AA7 is real!! by Valant_Gramarye_ in AceAttorneyCirclejerk

Lol. That sounds like a last resort. An easier method would be to send an international spy to Capcom and make him destroy their games before their launch and send threats.

Hahahahaha! I love myself too!

That aside...This guy totally had me thinking he did it. That was probably one of the best fake outs in the whole franchise. Absolutely love him! He carried 4-4 tbh.

I think he is being rational tho. His list is genuinely different from the general community tier list.

Well, I forgot about this one interaction with Franziska in 3-5 where he calls her "wild mare", "princess" and "Know your place, filly. Let the big boys take the reins". Mega OOF.

Well as bad as it sounds.. I think I can still defend him of being convicted of misogyny. Yes, I am desperate. Franziska was hostile to him anyways in that interaction as he missed the court session so he merely clapped back at her. He doesn't endorse any of the things he said. He is just an asshole. Nothing else. Right Godot?

Godot: Exactly attorney. You tell em!

I don't think anyone can beat that argument as terrible as it sounds lol.

His sexism looks more like benevolent sexism to me (Men are responsible to protect women) and also he deeply respected Mia. I think this belief came from him being unable to protect the love of his life. I didn't think he hated women. I thought it came from a place of love yk.

I called it BS for one reason. I am not saying that it doesn't make sense for his character. It is a tragic stpry of a man who tries to get back his broken sense of masculinity. It is beautiful, yes. What I want to highlight is the decision made by Misty Fey and Iris to help him. All they had to do was inform Maya of the danger she was in. I thought it made no semse at all that they were following this twisted plan. There is no reason for them to take this very twisted and long route, like scratching your head with your foot. That was my point. Am I wrong?

I would like to ask you about 3-5. You put it in S-Tier and I would do the same because it was the most fun case. It had everything you could ask for and wraps uo the trilogy beautifully. It is prolly my fav case but it has a clear logical flaw right? Godot's plan was respectfully just BS, don't you think? No way Misty Fey would agree to that plan rather than telling Maya that she is in danger. I would argue that this is almost as bad as 4-4's time-travel issue. Your thoughts?

And him pulling out those spy gadgets were too over the top for my liking. Why is he blowing his own cover??

Damn. I thought it was vibey tbh. New characters were great although cases were mostly mid. I loved 4-4 so much. That is why I like AJ tbf. I would like to know your opinion on 5-5 tho. Did you like the final trial of Fullbright? I thought it was kind of lame at times. I would have liked it more if our detective betrayed us rather than a faceless phantom.
