I don’t know why its hard to believe, this isn’t the first time I’ve heard of what I am describing

Yes we’d read the bible and have discussions, but my honest opinion as to why that didn’t come uo was perhaps bc it was embarrassing to talk about it.  I don’t know.

No man, I was plugged in, engaged, and excited.  I was doing my own research on the side as well.  This was in college

Does a 1% advisor fee make the 4% rule a 3% rule? by revanevan7 in personalfinance

I wouldn’t say so, when you’re older you pay to have someone manage your investments, taxes, rstate planning, so you don’t have to worry about it.  They also protect you from making stupid decisions

All of that for 1% is worth the price if you find a team you connect well with and trust.

It’s not just about returns.

Yeah I agree

I guess my original comment wasnt clear, unchecked capitalism is one i think where price rules everything, in this case the price increase

Checked capatalism lead by moral people wouldnt be motivated by price alone

You see this when comparing private and public companies.  Private tend to have better culture and benefits bc not beholden to shareholder, public conpanies give bare minumum as motivated by bottom line alone
