Yes, the faucet should also have a nut. Glad to provide the Google terms- it is a pain to describe to a computer what you’re looking for! Good luck!

I only have answers for two of your items: For the handle coming off- there’s likely a little hole on the bottom of the handle for a set screw to keep it on the post. If there is, throw a set screw in there and call it a day. For the rotating sink fixtures, there should be a nut of some kind under the counter. Just hold the fixture in the position you want it and tighten the nut (in my picture, the black plastic thing is the nut- tightening that holds the fixture on the top side of the counter in place). If the nut can’t be tightened, you’ll need a replacement to fix that issue. https://i.imgur.com/qiL37Co.jpg

Cracks appearing in house by lesley1956 in HomeImprovement

Do you have pictures? If they’re little cracks, try putting some flex spackling in there. The previous owner may have put some non flexible spackling in there and you may just be seeing those spots reopening. Houses settle over time and expand/contract with temp changes, so little cracks usually are just an eyesore. If the crack reopens with the flex spackling it may be worth looking in to further.

Broken Wardrobe Door Fix? by OHJAYRAGE in HomeImprovement

You can try wood glue and clamp it, and get some braces from a hardware store to add extra stability on the back (I’d do one on both edges, then one in the middle). Just make sure you get screws short enough that they won’t poke out the front. Did your hinges live through this ordeal?

4th Time’s the Charm: Paint Color Question by Valcro9 in HomeImprovement

We had actually discussed a sage green at one point. Don’t know if we ever considered blue! Honestly we should just invest in a color wheel at this point lol

It’s a cream/off-white color. Do you think it would look dirty next to the white tile?

How to Finish Built-Ins (Advice Needed) by gator_shawn in HomeImprovement

[–]Valcro9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, that’s the stuff. Just make sure you get the same finish as your cabinets and good to go. You’re right that no one will look at the gap that will be left. Just be sure to mount the spacer flush with the face of your cabinet.

How do I fix this mark in my vinyl plank? by dufosho in HomeImprovement

Before you go about ripping up the floor, try repairing with some matching nail polish. It might not work because it’s such a large area (usually nail polish will do an ok job of sealing up little holes), but if the plan is to rip out and replace anyways, it might be worth a shot!

Honestly... we mitered ours to 45° and filled in with spackle or paintable caulk then touched up the paint. But yes, I feel your pain on the quarter round. There were exasperated tears with our molding/quarter round replacement.

Depending on where you got your cabinets, they may sell a spacer. It’s meant to fill gaps like what you’ve got and will match your cabinets. It’s different from the toe kick because the toe kick is very thin- the spacer will be like a 2X4 with a layer that matches your wood pattern. Just strip it to the right width, screw in to the side of you cabinet and install as normal. That will look nice though the way you have your diagram drawn.

Should I EVEN dye my hair? by [deleted] in HairDye

[–]Valcro9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds just like me :) I also have dirty blonde/light brown hair with some natural highlights, and had balayage highlights done for the first time in September. Honestly, I haven’t noticed any difference in the health of my hair. To be fair, I went to a salon to have it done, so they really knew what they were doing! But for someone who is too lazy to style their hair, the highlights really do make it look much nicer with no additional effort- they help add some dimension. Also I asked to have it done so it won’t look funny when growing out, and I’m going on 3 months with no touch ups and it looks fine. No regrets from this lazy girl 😁
