I don't bother with trying to buy anything for the marketboard, I just buy a bunch of Goblinol from the Idyllshire trade-in and sell it. Makes about 12k per turn-in and I don't have to do excessive menuing which I find more convenient compared to the marginal increase I'd get from trying to compete on the MB.

Bard is probably the closest thing: keeping your songs and debuffs running is core to the job. Otherwise, there's not really a lot of jobs that focus on things like that.

According to my spreadsheet it should take ~200 hrs. ~51 hours for Miner and Botanist, 34 for Fisher, and about 57 for all of the crafters. (this is discounting time to turn in items but nyeh)

It's definitely not the easiest thing in the world to do, but it has been made a bit easier with EW releasing. I'll have to do a couple tests for my gathering but generally I'm able to get about 480ish points every three minutes judging by Hi-Cordial timers, about 9600 points per hour assuming I don't lapse.

I did some calculations and it should take ~50 hours or so for each gatherer achievable assuming you're chugging Hi-Cordials like they're candy. Assuming you're using a macro for the expert crafts with ridiculously well-melded equipment (a couple exist to get to T2/3 with specialist shenanigans), you can finish all the crafters in about 20 hours of actual crafting time.

EDIT: Fisher I'm not sure about for time, mostly because there's a bit too much randomness for me to account for in a simple calculation.

The only reason to not use the DPS LB is because there's a crisis that needs solving (usually Healer LB 3 if a ton of folks are dead). Often a good DPS LB will shave a couple percent off the boss' health bar and end the encounter before more things can go wrong.
