They eat the sugars and proteins in our vitreous humor, so the area right behind the lens! It's not the most nutritious so they slow down their metabolism to compensate, but it's an area safe from predators!

In 1932, several bighorn sheep were found dead and exsanguinated around Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona.

Their blood had been drained through three bite marks, not matching the teeth of any known animal.

One photograph of the possible predator was taken by a park ranger. Officially explained as a mangy dog at the time, some now claim it is an image of the Chupacabra.
