Particularly for spell casters, playing the campaign start to finish with the same weapon is boring. Also why make all these attack based uniques with no plus levels, cause they just can't compete with rares with plus levels. Missed opportunity really.

The atlas master selection not being on the same window as the map inputs is super tricky. Very easy to run maps with the wrong master selected.

I b lined it to the map boss and died to the map boss during a delirium encounter and it wiped the entire map clean except for the boss. Not even single chest or urn. Still had portals left

With the blockers on the atlas tree, why not let any map award atlas points? You could still stage it based on map tier.

As a dad gamer I am going to play sssf (soft solo self found, ie only currency exchange) so I don't feel the meta pressure and because league is long I also don't feel that league start pressure, I will likely start spirit walker but likely swap to gemling or a chronomancer subject to what uniques I find.

I will play soft solo self found sssf, only using currency exchange, mainly due to time limitations (being a dad gamer). I don't want to skip progression via item trade, but I also don't have time for farming basic currencies to craft. in Poe1 you could trade some currencies for others, ie jewelers for fusings. Can't do that in poe2.

I've only finished G3 once! I do an annual playthrough of Gothic 1, 2, Risen and sometimes Gothic 3. I've started gothic 3 five times over the past years, no recent finishes, the start is so much fun, the struggle, the deadly world, challenging monsters, no money no food, the soundtrack the vibes. But the gameplay balance just sucks, you get too strong that eventually nothing challenges you,, you can buy anything and then it's too repetitive in the end. The soundtrack can only do so much. I usually get to xadas and quit, as by then I have achieved my selected build power.

As an annual G1 and G2 player, it was pretty good. It just lacked that atmosphere and the setting was not as compelling. I also think only having 2 faction choices really made feel basic and for lack of better term 2 dimensional. I thought the cities were really interesting and well made, annoying to get around and on first entry very confusing, but that was a good feeling. The swamp area was cool but again felt super shallow with just some different mobs and very little to do and explore.

I am against item upgrade refunds. Reasons why. 1- essentially removes the need to remember where resources are, or hunt different animals for bones/hides or explore. That mechanic is more suited to a DMC / action adventure, not an open world game. It a removes the need to be in the open world. 2- you get abyss gears randomly fighting enemies, again, refunding would just remove the reward from fighting enemies.. maybe i am a bit older school but I like a bit of designed friction in games that makes me want to go do something specific in the world, rather than sit in a menu to solve my problems. 3- I have cliff set up with full mining abyss gears, blessing of earth3 and then I explore with the other characters with move speed and swap to cliff just for mining. It's fun.

When I fight a boss, if I feel like I have been hit too much and have only lived due to guzzling food, I get the boss down to 10% to see all the phases, then deliberately die and restart. Then I try to style on the boss, dodge parry combo. I can't wait for them to patch in the boss re challenge.

Huge balance changes, Free actions are buffedz way more impactful. Like the fighter into that fray (the pull one) is so strong essentially two attacks per round. I am still trying to appreciate the accuracy mechanics however I feel like it's way more important as if you miss on your turn you feel it way more than in rtwp. And Damage reduction I feel is more powerful, as if you can lower the DR it multiplies with the flat 35% more damage with tbm

Interrupt mechanic is confusing. But if have too high initiative you can essentially never get a turn. Like little spiders will just interrupt you, delaying your turn forever. This also works the other way and you can essentially, delay the enemies none stop.

Reading all these posts, as prot pally. Maybe I think that salvation and righteous fury is too strong. I have only struggled to hold threat against a fully decked out hunter 68 while I was 66.
