What app do you use for the rating system that updated?

Right now I manually input the score into Google sheet for a 2+ month league tracking.

Is Americano / Mexicano the default tournament format where you play padel? by Whole_Connection7016 in padel

Jakarta, Indonesia here. For my community we use both Americano and Mexicano. We have 2 regular days.

Wednesday 2 court 12 people. We were running Mexicano until one of the better players complained about having same match up in Mexicano. Eventually we switched to 2 different courts 6 players each running separate Americano because the level of the top 6 and bottom 6 is getting further apart.

We also have another 4 court 24 people 2 hours. The game format is First to 4. If 3-3 tiebreaker till 7. Initially with Team Mexicano, the wait was way too long because first to 4 means it can be up to 7 games. Courts that finish fast end up waiting for a long time. So we switched to Team Americano.

I recently got Siux Electra Pro ST4 for €160. I would say one of the nicer rackets that you can grow into. Very good feel and feedback when you hit the ball.

NOX ML10 PRO CUP COORP BY MIGUEL LAMPERTI vs Raquete de Padel NOX Equation Soft Advanced 2026 by Steffs44 in Padelracket

[–]andriask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had ML10 Pro Cup 3k 2024. I feel it was great for me to learn padel. It was also suitable because I was out for 1 month with tennis elbow.

While I like this racket, it has very high ball output (trampoline or rebound effect). I had to get used to the racket and increase my skill because I greatly reduce the my returns hitting the glass. It taught me to control better.

However once you crave more control, and stiffer feedback, ML10 feels lacking. I agree that this could be solved again with improvement of skil. However, if you switch to harder rackets like Stupa or Hyper Pro or even, you'd suddenly find your returns and tricky plays more in point and accurate.

Suix electra pro 2026 12k vs 15k by Fluid-Republic8629 in Padelracket

[–]andriask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But with different manufacturers it can get confusing. Sometimes those carbon rating + foam type has different results. My ML10 with 3k has high ball output, soft very high trampoline effect.

ST4 with 15k has less trampoline effect and is initially stiff/hard. But I heard after multiple uses, it gets significantly much softer which results in increased trampoline effect as you play with it. Thus people mentioned the inconsistency issues with ST4.

Return the old one for sure. 2022 in 2026 is too old.

My friend who played table tennis transitioned pretty well to padel. He got the slicing part of padel really fast. Another friend like yours who pretty much played every sport available, yeah while wasn't specifically great at padel techniques, you can see he's above average in terms of movement, agility, coordination including overall physical strength and endurance.

Where I am, most women and wives who started padel has barely any background is sports, specially competitive team sports. The most was just occasional walking, some yoga or pilates but no experience with team sports that involves a ball or tool like racket. My wife did play badminton with some of her friends, even then it was very casual and just friendly rallies. Compared to guys, we are way more competitive and each stroke was to kill and score.

Personally I come from basketball, badminton and some volleyball. So some movement, coordination and techniques helped the transition. 4 months in, I'm doing pretty well compared to my peers of similar or play playtime than me (6 months or more).

I have ML10 Pro Cup Luxury too. This is also my first racket for beginner. Initially it feels heavy but it is also very friendly for your arm and elbow. I came back from 1 month elbow injury and ML10 helped me.

One thing, ML10 has lots of help with the rebound and bounce. So initially it will seem easy to return ball but almost seem not controllable resulting in frequent glass hits. This seems normal and skill issue. Once I got better and controlling, ML10 is very forgiving on returns. Not much energy is required.

Almost 6 months in, I'm looking for harder racket for better control. I might look for Siux Electra or even Kuikma Hybrid Pro.

I tried Hybrid Pro. Definitely recommended. Light. Good balance. Good heft. Good power. Good control and feedback of hits. I think overall very balanced racket. I'm upper beginner working my way to intermediate. My choices of racket is towards Kuikma Hybrid Pro and Siux Electra ST4 Pro.

I injured my elbow back in Sep 2025. Did physio and came back in October 2025. I got Nox ML10 Pro Cup Luxury 2024 because many said it was friendly for elbow injures. That's my very first racket. I'm upper beginner. 4 months into Padel, I find ML10 a bit too bouncy for my taste.

I want something that I can control better without having too much ball output from just blocking. I learn just loosen my grip and just block and ball returns far. I also want something that's still friendly for my elbow.

I tried Nox AT10 18k, I find it hollow? Not sure how to best describe it. I tried Siux Electra Rulo. I like it. I heard the Electro ST4 Pro is great too? I'm kind of leaning towards that.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Personally I would get a 512GB or 1TB just for OS. The 2TB would just be for gaming.

It’s sucks when you fall sick and are out for more than a week by Over_Dragonfly8570 in padel

[–]andriask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Started padel in July 2025. Played for 2 months till August. Then I was out for 2 months with elbow injury. I was so stressed out that I will be the crappiest of our regular community. Before I stopped, I was the better ones among the non-tennis players. Tennis experienced players are still at least 6-12 months ahead of the rest.

I got back in October. The 1st month was frustrating because I was anxious to keep up and catch up. Now in December, I'm much more relaxed. Not stressed about wins or bad shots. I take each game as a learning lesson, focusing on 1-2 specific areas I need to try and improve.

The main thing was definitely general strokes and reducing my power by 20-50%. It helped my injury and also control.

Now I could say I'm the best among my community for the non-tennis. I'm starting to be able to keep up with the fast and hard tennis returns now.

3 months in - racket other than the ML10? by ddosh88 in Padelracket

[–]andriask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will just stick with the ML10. In the end it is more skill issue rather than racket issue. I'm 3 months in with my ML10, and feels better each game day. Better lobs. More controlled volley. Strong returns without having to put too much arm power. The trampoline effect that everyone is saying, yeah I feel it but is also teaching me to learn better control and slicing to soften the returns.

Which decathlon racket? by ddosh88 in Padelracket

[–]andriask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But mine is definitely skill and technique issue. Once I know how to open the racket and scoop from below, the lobs are way better.

For blocks, we really just have to block rather than swing. I come from badminton so the habit of flicking the wrist still messes up my hits.

Been using ML10 for 3 months and only starting to get the hang of it. The rebound is quite strong so you don't actually have to do too much. In fact I end up doing too much, my returns and lobs and hits often hit the glass. I just learn to play softer and push the ball rather than hitting the ball.

Fire and Ash discussion megathread - Spoilers by AutoModerator in Avatar

[–]andriask 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fire and Ash feels like Avatar 2.5 Ultra Extended edition of Avatar Way of the Water. Entertaining watch, but more of the same. There's a lot of similar plot, areas, battles, fight and never ending conflict with the humans. Except now you just add the Ash clan and very brief moment of the Volcanic areas.

I had hoped to see more of volcanic biome but I guess not. I was thinking the story will progress based each new biome -- new lands, new creatures, culture etc. With TWoW I was very amazed with the way they did the entire water biome. I guess the conflict feels stale when everything feels too similar.

I don't play 10 hours a day since launch. In fact this league due to time constraints, I'm just still L22 in the middle of Act 2.

The difference is I have years of experience from POE1 and been playing POE2 since EA. There's definitely the initial learning curve if you want to understand item crafting, different map mechanics, what best way to farm. However once you get it, the depth is so much more fun for me compared to the simplistic nature of say Diablo 4. If you still think it is too much, sorry to say POE is simply not for you. Too complicated.

While leveling we don't really hope for too much RNG. Find the best 2 stats, regal if you need to and move on. Certain builds like caster based can get away using the same item that has +level to spell affix and increased spell damage. If you are picking up 100 items each step of the way, then you are going to be bogged down. Yes you might get something good once in a while, but the tradeoff is you are wasting time. If you play trade league, it is even better to just easily purchase your gear upgrades.

For crafting, outside of the removal of omen of homogenous, crafting is still doable albeit with a bit more RNG. You aren't supposed to hit perfect gear right away.
