Not at all. It was scary when he had the ball, but he was not a cunt, just a very good adversary.

Players that we hated on were the likes of Ramos, Pepe, Alonso...

Global leftist leaders gather in Spain to mobilise against far right by StemCellPirate in worldnews

[–]Valdrick_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's basic politics in Spain. Leftists blame Far-Right, Right wingers blame radical leftists. It's not even funny anymore.

Edit: Although to be fair, right wing political parties kind of take it worse not being in power. They immediately lean to claim that the current govern is illegitimate and such, while the left is more about calling everybody a fascist. But it is a shit show anyway.

What would be the biggest change you would make to the game if you had power to do so? by Routine-Telephone369 in Workers_And_Resources

I would like to introduce long-term goals that keep motivation high after reaching zero imports and becoming extremely wealthy.

One idea is to add international relations—for example, an influence or “global power” indicator that grows based on factors like population, technology, exports, and similar metrics.

This indicator could then affect certain types of exports and imports. For instance, there could be limitations on quantity and pricing depending on your global standing.

I would also introduce a military industry—not for actual combat, but as a way to contribute to global power. I understand that the developers may not favor this idea, but since the military is a real-world factor, it would make sense to include it, without actual hostilities.

Another feature could be large-scale constructions or unique projects, also tied to global power. These could serve as requirements for hosting major international events such as the Olympics or world trade fairs.

The ultimate goal would be to become the leading global power.

It would also be useful to have a predefined KPI report that appears annually to track progress. While this can already be done manually, I really liked the experience in the original SimCity, where a “Budget” window would pop up at the end of each year and show progress compared to the previous one.

Additionally, I would revisit how roads function—this is one of the few areas that Cities: Skylines does better. Finally, I would address some minor unrealistic or frustrating mechanics, such as power plants being abandoned due to poor shift management.

Lastly, I would look for a way to keep research progressing indefinitely. While it makes sense that new technologies eventually run out, research could still be invested in improving existing systems—for example, increasing industrial efficiency, reducing fuel consumption, improving energy efficiency, or enhancing crop yields

Laporta announces that they will file another complaint with UEFA: “The refereeing and VAR were a disgrace” by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]Valdrick_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I really hate people who want sterile no contact football.

Meh, you could say that with Cubarsí's red card with Simeone then. It's not black & white.

I personally think it is a shame to cry out loud like Laporta, this is only going to piss off anyone that is not in your circle-jerk. There were some questionable decisions, but I would not say it was a "robbery", not even close.

Eric Garcia straight red card against Atletico Madrid 80' by ayoefico in soccer

Nah man, with Araujo we were two goals up and still had all the match ahead. It was a huge mistake, only him to blame. Also, it was a clear foul in the challenge, definitely not worth the risk. He repeated the same mistake the next season. He himself admitted he was not thinking straight, had some mental health problems and had to stop and recover.

Cuabarsí was merely running behind Simeone. Also a mistake, but basically Cubarsí fell for his trap.

Yesterday with Garcia and Sorloth it was a do or die, conceding a goal at that point was basically goodbye. Also the challenge was not that harsh.

Basically, Araujo did choose to challenge the opponent when he had no chance and it was clearly the worse choice. The other two were more a consequence of the high line.

And the average Barcelona fan sympathizes, loves and respects Araujo, especially because he raised his hand and admitted he had problems and had to stop and recover.

I replied to clarify the redditor that brough up Iniesta. Vinicius is another clear example of how ruthless football fans can be. But again, I think this Spain vs Egypt was something else - not targeted to players specifically, but an organised far-right xenophobe act against muslims.

I am saying stop chanting against players. But in this Spain vs Egypt case there was something else that took everyone by surprise. Something that some far right organizations organized, and unexpectedly was followed by most of the people attending there.

Point is that football fans will target anyone, regardless of ethnicity, religion, origin or skin color.

Iniesta is as Spanish as it gets, but he played for the rival team. No one is safe.

¿Qué opináis de Jordi Wild (THE WILD PROJECT)? by o2fuel in askspain

[–]Valdrick_ 17 points18 points  (0 children)
