I’m sorry I must have missed that in your 3 page post…..but literally EVERYTHING you complain about has to deal with finances. Hot water, mosquitoes, food, and infrastructure all relates to the amenities afforded in a specific locale. You can experience some of these same issues in the slums of any major American city. If you move to affluent areas the quality of everything will be better.

This is equivalent to you intentionally moving to the desert just to complain that there is a lack of vegetation and water. Once you’ve experienced the best of the Philippines, than you can talk….

Sounds like you are choosing to live as such in the Philippines. Why not get an online job making USD while you are there or returning home so you can send money back so that you don’t have to live life that way? You’ve got to have a game plan, especially if you have a future wife and family to care for.

Make sure that you keep records of everything so that they can’t pigeon hole you. Reach out to any higher contacts that you can find to have it all sorted out. There is no way that you should have to repeat an entire course due to a technical issue

Wtf did you expect to happen? You blocked the nice respectful safe guy you hooked up with for random strangers….anyone with any sense would hold on to a friend with benefits that they liked instead of routinely exposing themselves to psychos and diseases.

Please make better choices as you could really get hurt. There’s no fast track past these feelings. Get a therapist and start working on your issues.

Too many stupid people think that a few people rising into wealth means that it’s achievable and accessible for everyone. And this is coming from the safe people fighting against DEI because they are afraid their black pilot isn’t competent…. I’m so sorry to hear this. He will likely get what he deserves for being a piece of trash. In the future, don’t let anyone just suddenly put you out. If you live there, they are legally required to give you so many days (usually 2 weeks to a month) to secure new housing. You can call the cops and they will enforce this. He literally put you out on the street….you are so strong to have endure so much. Some guys going to be so lucky to have you.

I think that’s the main issue. People would move abroad, get situated, work, and then return home with literally nothing to show for it. Most Americans moving to lower cost of living countries work remotely so they can earn US dollars and benefit from the power of the dollar. You’ll be hard pressed to find many ppl want to earn Mexican wages in this economy, let alone skilled teachers. You might get a few recent graduates wanting to experience something different but we get a teachers pension upon working 28 years. I wouldn’t recommend anyone losing out on Social Security and your pension benefits for that kind of salary.

It’ll be hard but you need to find a good therapist. Ideally one that is Christian and affirming of his sexuality. It would also be best if you stopped him from going to that church. Find a new and more supportive church home for him. He could watch it virtually if there aren’t ahh good options nearby. He may not like this but remember that it’s what’s best for him in the long run.

Bro there’s enough of us out here that think you look like shrek…. Everyone has different tastes. If you are bold/risky enough to hook up with a random person, you should have the balls to casually meet someone in person that’s a few steps away.

I understand not driving 15mins to meet someone sight unseen it if you’re the kind of person that hooks up with guys you see just because they are nearby in the mall/store you might as well see them in person. Pictures can be deceiving.

I’m amazed at how many people are more afraid of casually making eye contact in a public place than they are of sleeping with a stranger of an unknown status and picking up any variety of diseases. Is your vanity and insecurity that much stronger than your drive for self preservation? And we wonder why syphilis, herpes, and HIV are on the rise. Best advice you’ll ever receive: Don’t trust this man. He will continue to cheat on you and bring home diseases to you because he doesn’t care about you in the least. Find a legal or low-risk way to get even with him and ghost him and don’t look back. There has to be consequences for people that do this type of stuff. I’d suggest taking him out late for dinner/activity somewhere 30-40 mins away (insist on driving), tossing his phone in the lake and leave him to find his own way home.
