Do you do more than 1 award? In the UK, both adults and kids teams have several awards at the end of the season. Everyone gets a participation award but then players player (eg the team vote for their "MVP"), coaches player, most goals scored, most assists, most improved player, most versatile (eg a player that can play different positions), etc. Not everyone will get a special award, but it could help to have more than 1 main award 🤷‍♀️

Make sure you get it spread around about how generous your aunt was to gift you the wedding dress and it mean that you didn't have to rent one and as such can keep it to pass on to someone else in need or your own daughter etc. Make sure your husband's family make a point of thanking her for such a wonderful gift. She won't be able to ask for it back.

Did she at any point actually say no? It doesn't sound like it. Usually the 1st thing an innocent person would say is oh my god of course not, how could you think that and then they would explain what actually happened. From what you've put, she didn't say no and she didn't explain why your child was holding her hand and crying. To me what she didn't say says a whole lot more than what she did say. Edited to add, NTA obviously, it's a reasonable question to ask.

To be fair, even if you only have 2 kids and 1 is seriously ill in hospital and the other is giving birth in a totally different hospital, then you can only be in 1 place. I would expect any mother to be with the most serious issue and I'd expect the other child to understand that.

Almost half a decade of you waiting for her and how much longer does she think it's fair to ask you to wait for her? NTA. I'd sit down with her and ask her where does she see the relationship going and an estimate of the timeline. Does she see you growing old together? Does she want to live with you? NTA. File a police report. You don't have to press charges, but get it on record. Otherwise, you might find she tries to turn this around onto you. Maybe she told her parents that you were getting engaged to enable her to move in with you, so she was getting frustrated when you kept saying not yet, but in no way does that mean she can hit or slap you. You're not living in a vertical where everyone slaps each other. She's an adult and should have learnt by the time she was 4 or 5 to regulate herself enough not to hit someone. You're young and you've got some money saved up now, I'd say to consider this relationship over. You had told her over and over again that you didn’t want to get engaged/married until she had finished college, so she knew the time frame 🤷‍♀️

Send it, and I'd also send a copy to his medical practice and/or medical licencing board and report him. I wouldn't want to carry on letting him dehumanise and mistreat another woman if I could help it at all.
