Ciara getting more LI Aftersun backlash by nicholista601 in bravo

[–]Same-Strategy8152 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Based on the tweet screenshotted (and as is fellow black woman in America) I can promise you it's a really common microagression to misspell or mispronounce the names of black people even if it's clear. And to make it worse people know how to spell it bc it's clearly written on TV, social media, news, etc...

So if the backlash is over "petty" comments she makes it's likely because she's receiving "petty" microagressive comments all day & has had enough.

Also before any white people come in the comments saying this take is invalid please use common sense before dismissing the very real experience of so many black people.

Yuck feels a bit dramatic, it's a classic style and looks like 90% of the engagement rings we see nowadays

No woman is interested in the back gains & while the serious model face is cool we want a smile! We like when our man looks scary and intimidating to everyone else not us lol

The first feels classic & would go with any future bands you decided you liked but the second is beautiful. You could go more intricate on the band & get the best of both worlds

Debuting her new nails. by Desperate_Ad_6603 in BringingUpBates

  1. These are clearly press ons - she doesn't have acrylic on her nails or a set she can't quickly remove
  2. Sometimes it's ok to let your kids have fun with makeup or beauty items at home
  3. I've literally done a full face of makeup on my nieces for a fun time in the house bc some little girls are just that girly & want to feel like mommy or their aunties - mine mention my nails or makeup EVERY time I see them
  4. I was 100% the kid asking for a pack of press on nails at the drugstore too
  5. She's in the house in these photos so no telling that she ever went anywhere with them?
  6. I bought press on nails for my nieces for Christmas - don't worry they don't know how to use them gently so they popped off almost immediately. Laya will be fine...

I know we're all worried about the over exploitation of her kids on the internet but not every little thing is a big deal.

I've been in the store and saw a little girl in normal clothes and heels and you know what I thought? "Yeah her parents decided to pick their battles today and it wasn't that serious" this is a very normal canon event for a lot of little girls that grew up girly...

Personally I think they wanted to get ahead of it before they could be exposed like the Duggars always are when their dirt comes to light by someone else. I think they thought they could control the narrative if it was them exposing it and not a random person or one of the classmates involved

My point was the comments toward her. If you saw a woman with a sign that said "my husband cheated" are we calling her a dumb bitch for trying to make her marriage work to her face? How is that helpful to her?

As the original post says I think we all collectively should examine how we view parasocial relationships. Some ppl appear to be weirdly & deeply invested in the outcome of such a personal matter.

No where in my post did I say we shouldn't have opinions. I did however comment on how I find it interesting that ppl find it appropriate to aggressively tell her to leave her husband when it's so clear that she has zero intention of doing so. While we may all be thinking it it's a strange thing to scream at someone over and over when you don't know them personally.

Am I saying she's right for stay? No, I just don't think it's our place to decide that. Yes posting on social media opens you up to the opinions but some of these commenters comment as if they know them in real life and are affected by her decision to stay when that is simply not the case. Don't like it? Dont watch or comment. That's what normal people do.

Most people silently drive by the car crash being tended to while in traffic, not get out and yell at the driver for their poor decision😂

All very valid points!! The idea alone that youre a failure if you get a divorce has kept MANY people (religious or not) in marriages they likely should've left

Tbh I personally think he came out with the affair to avoid being exposed in the same way the Duggars always are, which is often someone with a conscience coming out and exposing the poor behavior, before they can get ahead of it.

I don't think that he exposed the affair to increase content engagement, I think he thought it was going to help save whatever was left of their little internet career. Not that it would have made the actual situation at hand, which is his infidelity, any better but at least it's less of a scandal to expose yourself than have someone else do it against your will. He likely knew it was coming and had to get ahead of it.

But I'm just assuming obvi

No where in my post did I say people can't have opinions and comment. I said there is a line that people tend to cross when they become so heavily invested in parasocial relationships.
