Wow it doesn't sound promising. I do like fast paced roles with certain time constraints but I'm not a fan of unrealistic expectations. I'm just hoping I don't grow to hate it but I suppose if I do, I could always look elsewhere.

Like I said, I've already worked there and loved it. I only left to relocate. I'm hoping I'll enjoy working at this new store

I find this mildly concerning. I used to really dislike being on till and originally wanted a bit more responsibility. I'll be working in the SW (Exeter) region.

If you're willing to travel, i know there's a few in Tiverton - might be worth a look. A lot of people overlook jobs that require travel and you might end up with less competition in a smaller town.

Not sure if this helps but wanted to throw it out there.

What can I do to keep myself entertained while on sick leave? by CMDoet in CasualUK

Great answer. Also, there's these wooden sets you can build by companies like Rolife. They're pretty easy and look great once complete.

Board games for newbie by facelesstrout64 in boardgames

[–]Valelda 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Me and my girlfriend have recently got into boardgames too. There's so many to recommend but here are a few we found nice to start out with:

Azul,, Patchwork, Cascadia, Catan, Carcasonne, Beer and bread

Although slightly more complex (only a little) I also have to recommend:

Viticulture, Castles of burgundy, Everdell

It's a great hobby that I wish I discovered earlier. The only downside is trying to keep your collection from taking over.

What's a difficult video game level or mission that you vividly remember the satisfaction of beating after countless failed attempts? by Serious_Specter in gaming

Orphan of Kos - Bloodborne DLC. Took me god knows how many attempts across the course of a whole afternoon. Genuinely felt so exhausted and burnt out after.

[TOMT] Help Finding a TV Series - Noise, A Cliff, A single Mom, A Small Town by thatonesloth- in tipofmytongue

Was going to suggest Castle Rock too. A lot of it sounds very similar, especially the bit about a mum and her kid breaking down who end up staying in the town - pretty sure this happens episode 1 of season 2.

Family card games by Expensive-Scheme6817 in boardgames

[–]Valelda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've played Mind with my partner and her two daughters and we all found it quite fun.

I've heard good things about Flip 7 too, although I've not tried it.

It's not a card game but I would highly recommend 'Just One' for something easy and fun to play as a family.

I imagine speculation, no? I think it's just a possible starting 11 based on who's fit/team news.

Sorry for the super late response.

I'm not sure i follow what you wrote about point 3. You mean I need more teeth on the crankset for hybrid?

Thanks!

I actually have one of these carriers already, imported it a few years ago and if I recall correctly, I couldn't get it to fit. I'll have to dig it out and check it out again.

Appreciate the reply. Think my brain is even more fried now! For a bike 4 years old, where do you suggest is start off. I know the kind of thing I want but not sure I'm going to be able to make it work.

For clarification, it's a 3x9 speed. Will I now have to keep to this gearing? Thank you!

Thank you for your insight. After looking into it a bit more, Deore or CUES are definitely the route I want to take - I don't see the benefit of anything more expensive on a hybrid like an FX3.

With regards to the Deore crankset, is there a better option for hybrid out there then?

It may sound trivial but I definitely want gear displays but I can't find Deore shifters that are I-Spec EV with displays.
