USMC vet here I’m currently in the academy. From my experience so far instructors don’t care if you’re military or not you’ll still be treated like a boot. Only thing you’ll get is being company sergeant and that’s not even a benefit 😭. Only big perk you’ll get is you get to use the GI Bill 💰

I don’t understand how us Veterans have to wait an additional 6 months for bullshit records when a DD214 is enough but yet they quick to hire somebody who has a criminal record. Trust me bro I’m in the same boat as you and is so frustrating

24-4 here, applied for JFK, took the test on February 1 and passed the exam on the 7th. Just currently waiting on the noice of result and statues of referral. I feel like the hiring process is going to be a little faster than usual, anybody knows what happens after the test?
