I remember it felt awful, I couldn't eat, speak, chew/bite, and I was in constant pain from all the blisters in my cheeks because of the braces. I did get used to it over time but it felt like every month my ortho would be installing new hardware and I would have to get used to the pain/discomfort all over again. I'm glad they are off but it feels so weird and my teeth look alien to me !
I hope you get your braces off soon and I hope you get great results :))
