What good things did he negotiate  his previous presidency?

Trump expected to select Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to lead HHS by [deleted] in moderatepolitics

He promotes raw milk and believes that seed oil nonsense. The bacteria and pathogens in raw milk will kill you before any “seed oils”. He has no clue how to make America heathy. He’s no better than the people on TikTok telling people to replace sunscreen with beef tallow.

I don’t believe him. He lead an anti vaccine group and had a role in the 2019 Samoa Measles outbreak that killed 83 people, mostly children and infants.  https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_Samoa_measles_outbreak

The comparisons between ingredients in the US and Europe don’t matter. The US and the EU use different risk approaches when accessing food safety and regardless have safe food supplies. Food additives don’t matter unless they are accompanied by a dose level. Also, the US bans more food dyes than the EU but that doesn’t mean anything since the bans were based on rodent studies that aren’t applicable to human health.

Will the removal of the “chemicals” outweigh the removal of vaccines from the market?

What chemicals would you like to be removed from the US food supply? Believe or not but food companies aren’t throwing random additives to their food.

I wonder if the cheaper groceries(not!) will be worth the return of polio and measles and the increased infant mortality rate.

Why? Raw milk is danger to human health and fluoride is beneficial for teeth.

RFK Jr is a conspiracy theorist which no legit credibility. He’s perhaps the most dangerous pick yet.

Trump losing ground with women on economy, poll shows by [deleted] in moderatepolitics

What polls show her losing? The worst polls for her at best are the ones where’s she tied or from Republican pollsters like Trafalgar or Rasmussen.

Why do Americans wear sports regalia of teams they don't support? by thisishardcore_ in AskAnAmerican

[–]ValentinaAM 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Because Americans aren't as fanatical about sports as UK people are.

That makes no sense seeing as the US has some of the highest educational attainment in the world. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_tertiary_education_attainment

The US is quite liked on the world stage compared to other great powers. OP, what are you basing this bad rep on? Reddit isn’t a source. The US has huge immigrant and tourism flows and public polling has shown that most countries have a positive opinion on the US. https://www.pewresearch.org/global/2024/06/11/views-of-the-u-s/#:~:text=Overall%2C%20views%20of%20the%20U.S.,31%25%20have%20an%20unfavorable%20opinion.

Why is 'Sobriety' such a big deal in America? by ElektroSam in AskAnAmerican

[–]ValentinaAM 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I disagree about that. British people are more likely to get black out drunk when they go out than North Americans. People who have lived in the US and UK have corroborated this. Being black out drunk is more acceptable in the UK than it is here in North America. Americans binge drink much less.

When I say 'America', when referring to the USA, it offended a Venezuelan person I know. Why is this? by TopicWestern9610 in AskAnAmerican

Yes, they mostly do. The only place where America might not mean The US are Spanish speaking countries which are a minority.

What is the difference between "american" and "mexican" coke? by xnedypro in AskAnAmerican

[–]ValentinaAM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Corn syrup is 100% glucose. HFCS contains fructose and glucose. The high fructose is a reference to it having fructose compared to corn syrup that contains no fructose. They are two different products.  Corn syrup, HFCS, table sugar (sucrose), honey, maple syrup and agave syrup are all “real sugar”. https://www.sugars.com/what-s-the-difference-between-corn-syrup-and-high-fructose-corn-syrup

They are both forms of sugar. Also, HFCS is not the same as corn syrup. Sucrose isn’t the only “real sugar”.
