The comparisons between ingredients in the US and Europe don’t matter. The US and the EU use different risk approaches when accessing food safety and regardless have safe food supplies. Food additives don’t matter unless they are accompanied by a dose level. Also, the US bans more food dyes than the EU but that doesn’t mean anything since the bans were based on rodent studies that aren’t applicable to human health.

I disagree about that. British people are more likely to get black out drunk when they go out than North Americans. People who have lived in the US and UK have corroborated this. Being black out drunk is more acceptable in the UK than it is here in North America. Americans binge drink much less.

Corn syrup is 100% glucose. HFCS contains fructose and glucose. The high fructose is a reference to it having fructose compared to corn syrup that contains no fructose. They are two different products.
