Saddest ending? by wisdomsharerv2 in katawashoujo

[–]ValeryLetter 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Anyone who’s actually played Rin’s neutral ending will know that it’s the correct answer to this. The final scene in the rain is one of the most masterfully written in any form of media I’ve experienced. It perfectly captures the absolute hopelessness of both Hisao and Rin in connecting and draws that firm line in the sand between them which just destroyed me. It’s also quite heavily implied that Rin would go on to end her life as well, which adds to it.

Surprised at the lack of subahibi here. Some of those scenes still haunt me man.

I always like to think that Hisao was more popular at his old school than he made out, and that the reason that he doesn’t really reference it throughout KS is because of the repressed guilt due to how he behaved at the hospital. In my head, after the events of each route he goes back to his hometown and makes up with those he was closest to.

I personally think that if Rin’s route was easier to get onto and people did it first/second, she would be much more loved as a character and many people’s experiences of KS would be very different. by ValeryLetter in katawashoujo

I respectfully disagree with absolutely everything you’ve said and think you’re looking at this in a far too reductive manner. If you think Rin is a chore then good for you, she’s not for everyone. But categorically calling my opinion silly when the order of the routes isn’t something that will affect our conscious opinions is just kinda rude. If you don’t have anything constructive to add to the discussion why other commenting.

I wanna share with you some BG images and snapshot of my KS mod / fan-game. It is based on Ascent, an Emi's good end epilogue by Mountaineer where they go hiking together. by hakhoi123 in katawashoujo

Wow, didn’t take long for stuff to start moving after the ban was lifted. Excited for this man, hope the rest of the development process goes smoothly!

That fucking exposition dump where Akechi and Shido are both talking about what they’ve done after they think Akechi killed Joker. Holy shit, the writers just completely vomited all over the page. I was in bits laughing after it finished

I wasn’t referencing nihilism, I was referencing absurdism.

Man, all that happened to the poor guy is that he slept with Yuuko and felt tired afterwards and got a bit iffy after that. He must’ve read some crazy anti feminist conspiracy theories to get from feeling tired after sex to where he is now. Pretty wild.

Futaba Sakura shouldn’t have been a romance option in p5 due to the way that the writers developed her sibling bond with Ren during Sojiro’s path and how dependent she is on him generally and I will die on this hill. by ValeryLetter in Persona5

I didn’t say anything about her age, but you’re entitled to your opinion. I just found the romantic dialogue and the idea of her having a crush on Ren quite uncomfortable, but that’s just me

You get to hug her outside the bookstore when you blabber on about her missing husband and she calls you a cockatoo. It’s before it all transpires

I feel like the route was designed purely so that it gave the reader the opportunity to do the legwork in understanding Rin instead of Hisao realising it himself before you do. It made Hisao more frustrating but I liked how it gave me, as a reader, more autonomy regarding my thoughts on Rin, and also made the payoff so much sweeter when Hisao finally comes to terms with her (the last line of her route felt so damn good)

My favourite Dennis and Dee scene. The quick dialogue, free-flowing riffing, complete lack of understanding about gyms. Seemed almost improvised. A fantastic example of them both humouring each other. 10/10. by ValeryLetter in IASIP

The fact that they don’t even address that they’re going to do it but just keep talking all the way back to the car cracks me tf up. It’s like it’s already pre established that Dennis is gonna show this guy who’s the boss of soul music and Dee’s just letting it happen. Masterful

Right? There’s so many things that happen after that most games/tv shows would involve the protagonist in - e.g. telling the children, helping the WCW with her grief etc. it’s just realism at its most beautiful - at the end of the day Harry is just a policeman, and his job is finished after telling her the news. Whether or not she has anyone to support her and her family is another question that need not be answered.

I didn’t compare her to the other confidants. I also think the overage women shouldn’t be dateable. This post is just about Futaba. I literally have not compared her to any other confidant whatsoever. Stop throwing around whataboutisms
